I bet some of your x56 chips could be x57 and x58 but you're running either too warm or not enough vcore. Send me your X56 chips and I can find out

SoF
binned about 60pcs of 2600k and no one more than x56. what i'm doing wrong? are u testing the better ones under single stage? some chips like it cold - my best one (~5670) will only hit ~5500 with 1.6V under air. Hondacity
some don't like it too cold... best mobo for binning is asus m4e... this board doesn't have issues with cold boot.. some cpus don't like over 1.6v

Asus runs like a charm and can post max bclk no problem, giga you have to work it up in small steps to get high bclk...

Massman
This: are u testing the better ones under single stage? some chips like it cold - my best one (~5670) will only hit ~5500 with 1.6V under air. From 56x and up, I'd test them under liquid nitrogen to see if they scale a bit. Remember, on Sandy Bridge the maximal operating frequency is function of temperature and voltage; some CPUs can only run highest frequencies at -10°C. And also this: Tell me about it lolLove the M4E just wish it had Gigabyte's '01 perf. then I'd throw the giga out the window... Asus runs like a charm and can post max bclk no problem, giga you have to work it up in small steps to get high bclk... GBT's UD7 is so much hard work. I'd say 'but eventually you get there', but so I'll do that when/if I eventually get there
