April 27, 201114 yr i7-2600K (ES): L035B191 #0430 <5.200 MHz (CPU-Z @ 5.16 GHz) Asus P8P67 (UEFI 1401), Air-Cooling Had some troubles with "Overvoltage Error" (IIRC had disabled all protection features ...), especially at even higher Vcore values, but CPU is pretty much maxed out at around 5.2 GHz, so doesn't matter anyway.

I bet some of your x56 chips could be x57 and x58 but you're running either too warm or not enough vcore. Send me your X56 chips and I can find out

May 7, 201114 yr binned about 60pcs of 2600k and no one more than x56. what i'm doing wrong? are u testing the better ones under single stage? some chips like it cold - my best one (~5670) will only hit ~5500 with 1.6V under air.
May 7, 201114 yr some don't like it too cold... best mobo for binning is asus m4e... this board doesn't have issues with cold boot.. some cpus don't like over 1.6v
May 7, 201114 yr some don't like it too cold... best mobo for binning is asus m4e... this board doesn't have issues with cold boot.. some cpus don't like over 1.6v Tell me about it lol Love the M4E just wish it had Gigabyte's '01 perf. then I'd throw the giga out the window... Asus runs like a charm and can post max bclk no problem, giga you have to work it up in small steps to get high bclk...
May 8, 201114 yr Author This: are u testing the better ones under single stage? some chips like it cold - my best one (~5670) will only hit ~5500 with 1.6V under air. From 56x and up, I'd test them under liquid nitrogen to see if they scale a bit. Remember, on Sandy Bridge the maximal operating frequency is function of temperature and voltage; some CPUs can only run highest frequencies at -10°C. And also this: Tell me about it lolLove the M4E just wish it had Gigabyte's '01 perf. then I'd throw the giga out the window... Asus runs like a charm and can post max bclk no problem, giga you have to work it up in small steps to get high bclk... GBT's UD7 is so much hard work. I'd say 'but eventually you get there', but so I'll do that when/if I eventually get there
