NoMS Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 (edited) Don't kill your NF8 The board still working good. I've insulated the area around the socket (under the heatsink). Unfortunately, no mhz gain vs air cooling Edited May 19, 2011 by NoMS Quote

Massman Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 Hah! That MSI heatsink is pretty cool! Too bad the memory is placed vertical on the mainboard. Quote
Christian Ney Posted May 23, 2011 Author Posted May 23, 2011 (edited) With Arctic Silver Ceramique (this is a real glue , every time I tried to remove my Noctua NH-D14, AMD cpus went off too) the heatsinks are well glued so no problems Edited May 23, 2011 by Christian Ney Quote
George_o/c Posted May 24, 2011 Posted May 24, 2011 When I told you that idea I also tried to find an old post of hipro's on Greek forums, in which he cooled his BH5 whith such heasinks. It's amazing though how quickly you pulled it off, it's like you got a storage full of hardware there Now enjoy those GeIL Quote
Christian Ney Posted May 24, 2011 Author Posted May 24, 2011 (edited) You all know my watercooling rev Beta0.5. I did a rev1.0 in my aquarium... But seems my fish became crazy so I removed the rig off the aquarium. Well, today seems we have some problems with the heater and when I take my shower(yes, yes I take shower ), the water was very cold.... Here we go I really hope I know how to insulate... Tanya will kill me, it's her board EDIT: I lowered the size of the pics Edited September 23, 2011 by Christian Ney Removed one pic and lowered the size of others Quote

Christian Ney Posted May 24, 2011 Author Posted May 24, 2011 Damn Christian you are f***ing crazy! Does it work though? (the shower thing) Sure I think it cool the chip better, but no improvement regarding the overclocking. I already did 2.3GHz on this Atom 330 on air. This new rev of the watercooling is just to see if I am not bad to insulate and I didn't know what to bench today Quote
Christian Ney Posted May 24, 2011 Author Posted May 24, 2011 that's just a random mod waiting to happen Edited and Corrected Quote
