January 14, 201213 yr 9/10 Asus didn't only pay for a skinned version, but also for the sole rights to have a skinned version. Pffft *uses custom OCN version instead *
January 14, 201213 yr Oh you big meanie... Only difference is the validation spits out .json files instead of .cvf.
January 14, 201213 yr Author Update 27th April 2009: ONLY official CPU-Z version for screenshot verification. Official = when hosted on the developer's site. ROG skin is allowed, in other words. E-leet, for instance, not.
January 14, 201213 yr lol, i am a little butthurt i guess that he didn't use a GB board, yea really pissed. haha Maybe that would explain why CPUz seems to read proper voltages off every board but GB at release. That is very typical of ASUS, from PWMs to CPUz. So will i see an ASRock Skin? Edited January 14, 201213 yr by sin0822
January 14, 201213 yr Author I'm not sure about the cpuz skinning thing, Sin. I vaguely recall someone telling me this and just figure it would be a smart thing to do.
January 14, 201213 yr yea it is smart, it would make sense, i would think it wouldn't be such an expensive thing to do but it is very good marketing. I always wondered why no one else did it.
January 15, 201213 yr Crew pacifier time... really funny how this MSI thread get's derailed by a CPU-Z skin
January 15, 201213 yr Author Who care cpuz skin! All jokes aside, the board is actually quite good. It only needs the x12 ratio fix and then it's good too go 4xCF or 4xSLI cheaper than hwbot sponsor I promise. Hey, it's all cool! Without GIGABYTE, MSI, Adata, GeIL, GSkill, Thortech and Enermax this site would have gone offline a while back. Thumbs up for them, I guess

These vendors who have joined have done a lot of good things for the site, so we all can enjoy about it now in 2012. If all of them would have just posted scores in here, this site would have gone down in 2009. I think people forget this too easily. Hwbot is VERY important for this community, hobby and industry as well, cause FM hall of fame have not been that interesting in last years. (I checked FM hall of fame last time in 2010.. or 2009) This discussion here is not my business at all, but I had to thank those vendors who gave this site a chance
January 16, 201213 yr 9/10 Asus didn't only pay for a skinned version, but also for the sole rights to have a skinned version.
January 17, 201213 yr All benchmark results were from my 4.9GHz OC. I also managed to hit 2452Mhz DDR3 memory speed. Aida64 and Cinebench Futuremark Benchies All-time favorite SUPERPI!!! SuperPi 1m SuperPi 32m
January 21, 201213 yr Massman, could you measure the length of the VRMs in mm? I'm planning to buy this board possibly using a koolance VRM block & I was wondering if a 140mm plate will suffice. TIA!
January 29, 201213 yr In Romania it's for sale for some time: http://www.pcgarage.ro/placi-de-baza/msi/big-bang-xpower-ii/
February 6, 201213 yr i have (again) problem here, have BIOS 111, board behave very weird, lot of restarts, reboot loops, but with older bios is working, BUT ... any CPU Strap then 100 is not working, 125/167 = FF on display ... WTF?
February 8, 201213 yr i have (again) problem here, have BIOS 111, board behave very weird, lot of restarts, reboot loops, but with older bios is working, BUT ... any CPU Strap then 100 is not working, 125/167 = FF on display ... WTF? It's a strap, not a multiplier. Use 100 strap for 100-110 bclk, 125 strap for 115-135 etc. Just leave it at auto which works very well (told them to add a note about this).
