Unfortunately, clocks don't really matter any more in this bench

i think thats a good thing, give people a chance to compete purely based on tweaking skill and not needing a crazy chip,

 

thats why i always liked pcmark05

Pro , My tweaks always clock relative, higher CPU Clock , higher mark.

 

I told you before I know how to use crossfire in PCMARK 05 right now, and it passed the GDDR Test without any problem.

Now it's getting interesting...

Umh! Smells great! Maybe I'll give a 1st shot if CF is possible... NOW!

Which 1 Core and 2 Core CPU is better for PCMark 05?

Depends on taste. In my opinion, sempron 150 is the best single core, and e8600 or similar is the best dual core.

 

Doesn't matter much with the current tweaks. With either chip suggested, there are some drawbacks of running it and other more convenient options, so I would probably choose convenience and run whatever... Only a few people capable or shooting for top scores now, so if you have the tweaks, I would only worry about what hardware you are on if one of the other players tries to go after that particular score.

How about 3 Cores?

 

For 4 Cores, 3770K for sure, 6 Core I will use 3960X.

But maybe best choice is a Phenom II X2 @ X3, so u can do 2core and 3core

Good point. I just wouldn't try to take that score down with that chip, and expect it to last more than 24 hours.

LOL nah im semi-retired from pcmark, well at least retired for the time being!

Does that mean it's time to share all secrets and let others catch up while you conjure up more magic to show off when you un-retire

im a new fan of this benchmark and would like to ask if 96-99mb/sec xp startup is a really bad score from a single corsair force ssd, or average ? How can i improve the hdd tests apart from building an ssd raid ?

yeah, happens to me too, can I get a fix for this please ?

 

( with flashdesktop on, 2dtw is ok but 3d pixel is at 0.1fps)
