Gunslinger Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 (edited) anyone know where you can get a lightning 7970 in the USA? The only place I've seen them is on EBay. I bet South America has plenty of stock though. Edited April 11, 2012 by Gunslinger Quote

rbuass Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 Oh...I don't know what is hardest... To find hardware to compete or to win...lol No way... ATM in Brazil still not Lightnings, neither GTX 680 (sometimes you can find in "Mercado Livre"...but informed that can delay about 20 days to arrive...lol)... I will try with reference 7970 + Epower... I got my Epower today...looks amazing Quote

Gunslinger Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 This is turning out to be a big fail by MSI with lack of 7970 Lightning stock. Quote
Splave Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 some pieces to the puzzle have arrived Im not sure the z77 will be necessary with the z68a-GD80 doing quite well but better to be prepared. Current best 3930k I have is x53, hopefully 1 or all of these 3 will be better. PS Quote
Massman Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 some pieces to the puzzle have arrived I don't really want to spoil your puzzle-fun, but I don't think those things match ... (ps: the office!!) Quote
Splave Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 they are just pieces I have x79-GD65 on the way Quote
redmax Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 A little trip to Colombia can give you that Lightning... It might be worth it until you try to get back into the US. The border guards tend to get a little excited when they see Colombia on your passport. Quote

I think the wise choice for me will be teaming up... So let's see.. this year it will be tough... Getting started: Quote
rbuass Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 eKiller told me can find Lightning in Colombia (~USD650)... I can not believe that is easier to find Lightning in Colombia than USA....lol Quote
gnidaol Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 I wish we had fair taxes here in Brazil. I've worked months to be able to get those hardware. we pay double+shipping. It would be great if Colombia has gone in a fair way with hardware. But it seems really hard to believe. I wish Americas had more spots on ww finals, but let's fight for what we've got. Quote
saint19 Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 eKiller told me can find Lightning in Colombia (~USD650)...I can not believe that is easier to find Lightning in Colombia than USA....lol That's because not much people buy those models, in fact, one place is 100% confirmed that they have it and others two told me the same but I have not seen the GPU yet, a little more expensive than in the USA but who cares? Now we only need to find out a good bunch of CPUs Quote
Splave Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 maybe this will be good for something? .... Maybe not rofl Quote
saint19 Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 maybe this will be good for something? .... Maybe not rofl Green or red? Quote
saint19 Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 obviously a 680. check power connectors Sorry, didn't see that. Maybe that 680 can give you good results and good options in the contest. Quote
rbuass Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 The really competition looks like HD 7970 Lightning X EPowered GTX 680 ... lol Quote
Splave Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 I think this is what Splave is going to do lol this guy Quote
