I.nfraR.ed Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 Don't go above 1.5 - 1.55V on the NB. I'd say 1.55V absolute max if you want your chip to have some chance of staying alive. Don't remember the exact voltage Stilt said is the maximum, but it was somewhere in that range if I'm not mistaken. Quote

My win7 installation was made with 01E. I've flashed 01F, but when I set BAPM to disabled Windows does not load, it freezes on the exact same place just before the Welcome screen. No bsod, board just restarts after 2-3 seconds. With BAPM enabled there's no problem.  Do I need to reinstall Windows with BAPM set to disabled? Quote
The Stilt Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 BApm itself has no effect on Windows behavior. Â Does it happen at the stock GPU frequency also? Â Freezing during the welcome screen is usually because of a too high GPU frequency. Quote

I.nfraR.ed Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 (edited) BApm itself has no effect on Windows behavior. Does it happen at the stock GPU frequency also?  Freezing during the welcome screen is usually because of a too high GPU frequency.  No, all frequencies are at stock. Voltages are set to 1.3/1.2 for cpu/gpu, because the LN2 bios sets them to 1.45/1.4. All unused features, C'n'Q and so on are turned off. RAM is set to XMP, but I've tried lowered frequency without luck. With bapm turned on it's pretty stable and loads windows every time. That's on air cooling.  I've also tried 400MHz gpu, ram at 1333, cpu at 3GHz.  PS: Guess I need C6 enabled. I had it on disabled. Edited October 12, 2013 by I.nfraR.ed Quote
The Mutt Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 (edited) Does the IMC scale more on ln2? My POS cpu can't get over 1220 stable on cascade and I have tried all of my different sticks (psc, samsung, hynix and a few that I don't know what chips they use). I.nfraR.ed Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 Not much, about 30MHz or maybe even less for my apu. Quote
Ekky jengkol Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 anyone had experience with new bios A85X? tried disable TDP option and still had drop score issue at 1267 devider.. am i missing something? i'm stuck with 1169 gpu now.. Quote
Wizerty Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 anyone had experience with new bios A85X? tried disable TDP option and still had drop score issue at 1267 devider.. am i missing something? i'm stuck with 1169 gpu now.. Try other 3d driver.  Too much trouble with this board, I give up, remove insulation and put it in my HTPC.  Bios freeze every time after 30s with extreme bios (old et new one), same things with two cpu and 2 a85 board. Need to activate C6 when TDP option are disable Can't run higher than 1300. PSC can boot @1300c8, but can't bench higher than 1250. CFR can boot @1300+, but can't bench higher than 1280 (1.8v @-80 c10..)  5 OS corrupted with only 2 session  I don't know if A88 is better, or if i'm unlucky with my a85, or if i'm to stupid, but it's enough for me.  ----------------  Thanks Hiwa for sharing. The only new "tweak" i found is to keep only one core /module for GT and especially for combined (+50pt), and 4cores for physyx. I tried scheduler patch, it's better for some GT, but worst for other so don't use it.  1.0.1 is faster for physX, and as good as 1.0.5 for GT, so 1.0.1 is the way to go  2stick (dual) is better than 4stick  Good luck to every one Quote
I.nfraR.ed Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 (edited) Wiz, it's the IMC of your APU. First APU was max 1290, second one good for around 1400 9-12-11. Board is flawless for me, except that only 1169 multi gets me okayish scores. Try higher VDDP. Â Hazzan is untouchable for me Edited October 13, 2013 by I.nfraR.ed Quote
