Hi guys ! As in the title, I want to buy a motherboard for S754 but I don't know wich one. So is it better for me to buy a mobo with nForce 3 250 or nForce 630A ? Here is the link : http://en.toppreise.ch/grp3_693.html Thanks

  2. Endless disscutions revolve around many heatsink reviews lately, as the air-cooling technology is getting closer and closer to it's maximum potential. Intel Core i7 proved to be the nightmare of any heatsink company, as the high TDP, large IHS surface and huge transistor count demand state of the art retention systems and flawless heatsink designs in order to keep the beast at safe, comfortable temperature levels. Old testing methods are left behind in the dust, since the new generation of cooling monsters need thorough investigations, unlike nothing we have seen in the past. And while there still are those unable to face the realities of 2010, most of the respectable har…

Hi. Just wondering where this setup goes. I do think that it should be as 3x 4850, since the other way around could be considered cheating. Maybe it's not even allowed to mix cards on the bot?

Hi Guys, I thought non retail release hardware was not allowed.? Yes I know ES's are ok if there is a retail version available but TWKR's are a different bred aren't they but they are an admitted 'cherry' ES version of a retail chip. http://hwbot.org/hardware/processor/phenom_ii_twkr I know the scores are not earth shattering but isn't it clearly a double standard.? As three of the guys submitting results are mods/admin here. I know also that you have the option for points or no points on uber cherry stuff, just that that box doesn't seem to have been ticked. I mean no offence here at all guys, I just though cherry stuff was a no no. Regards, …

  6. Avexir Blitz DDR3 2000 CL9 I wanted to show you a DDR3 kit from a new DDR manufacturer from Taiwan, called Avexir. I will not go into details regarding the company and the people behind it. It's enough to say that they assured me that their kits are carefully binned and they will be priced very competitive. Also, some master-plan regarding some killer MNH-E based kits got to my ears, but that is something for the future. Right now let's see some BBSE powah. This puppies knocked on my door a cuple of days ago, so I didn't really have time to test them. However, here are some pics with some sexy looking RAM (I am sure we all recognise the HS) and a litle bit …

  7. MSI has gained a strong market since it launched its first 10" netbook in 2008. It has also released many new notebook products in the last two years and these have helped to boost the image of the MSI brand. When MSI released its first netbook, the only netbooks on the market were in the 7 to 8.9" range. For most consumers, MSI's first 10" U100 Netbook offered a bigger screen compared to the other 7~8.9" netbooks at the time while weighing around the same as 8.9" models. MSI then continued to refine their netbook offerings with some offering longer endurance while others emphasized 3.5G support. Consumer response was quite positive and the MSI brand has co…

I have a BFG 7950GT OC Edition GDDR3 card and for some reason the driver wont let me overclock the 3D settings on high? It is grayed out but the other ones I can adjust haven't done any testing really since I figured it would be pointless. Stock clocks are 565/715 and I am using rivatuner and ATITOOL. I am using the 195.62 drivers since I here the newest are messed up not sure if that's true. Does anyone here have any experience with these cards and overclocking them and maybe a vmod? It has a modded stock cooler but maybe adding some chilled water cooling to it later. Temps stay in the mid 60s mostly so its fine, only thing is there is no real cooling for RAM sin…

  12. Hello to all. I opened this topic for a discussion P7P55D PRO Asus device with which I have done some tests which in my opinion have to dikutohet reason why this kind of equipment. Let's start. 1-is free and takes price for what is right with that. 2-Fast is sufficient. ASUS 3rd-quality guarantees. 4-INTEL "I5 750 2.66" Combined with 5-GTX 275 896mb 6-with a good water cooling Cooler Master (Aquagate Max) We will see immediately with the help of Turbo Evo (ie without straining the BIOS) has tested this device go to 4055MHz CPU and also is playing Crysis, Call of Dyty 4, Wolfenstein, Need for Speed Most wanda, Call of Duty - World at War, the stress at the s…

  13. In the past six months, we often saw a lot of news about Intel 32nm CPU on the internet; more information was about Core i7-980X, also LGA 1366 6 physical cores + 6 virtual HT cores (12 Threading). The orientation of 32nm CPU belongs to Intel future highest-level LGA 1366 platform, which most consumers show less interest in because of higher price. Now take a look at Intel LGA 1156 platform. About this new product line, there will be some 32nm CPU products put on sale, including Core i5 6XX and Core i3 5XX series, and named Clarkdale. The market orientation of these two series is different from previous Intel CPU. The main reason is that Intel define…

Im gonna upgrade my PC, so i'm looking for a good P45 mobo that supports only DDR2 [highest freq = better]. I think that Gigabyte, DFI Lanparty and Asus mobos for P45 are really good. I'm gonna clock a E1400 & E2180 with that mobo. Recommend me what to choose. P.S You know any place to get D9GMH/KX - CL4 or 5 - ~1000-1006 Freq RAM?

  17. Since LGA1366 launched at the end of 2008, there are not many news in the market recently. Instead the new LGA1156 has very high exposure rate in all medias. These 2 structures are very similar and make users hard to choose as the different strength. LGA 1366, the extreme level product line and will have 6 cores CPU soon. Currently X58 chipset support 3 channel and 6 DIMMs DDR3 for higher extensibility and Quad core CPU with HT technology. LGA 1156 is the following segment. P55 is single chip and the power consumption is lower. HT version CPU and LGA 1136 are similar price. i5-750 is the most valuable choice so far. In the future, i3 dual-core will make LGA 1156…

I think there should be only one category for these cards : 8400 GS G86 128mb 8400 GS G86 256mb 8400 GS G86 512mb The card has exactly same specification the only difference is the memory size which make no difference in performance. So what's the point to keep them all separated ?

  21. It’s been almost 2 month since Intel launched LGA1156 socket on 8th Sep The new platform product line and market position are clearer As my previous review, LGA1156 is still focus in between high end and middle end CPU has 3 models so far. The highest is i7-870 and middle is i7-860 They both support HT which make Quad core CPU can simulate 8 cores i5-750 doesn’t support HT and it’s the most entry model now. The price is around 200USD MB Chipset is P55 and all MB makers also launched the products at the same time Currently, the P55 MB price is between 160~280 USD If you want to buy LGA 1156 platform, i5-750 plus 160USD P55 MB is the best C/P Certainly, if yo…

  24. Asus is facing a tough situation recently, it loses $1.12 billion in value due to Pegatron spinoff; stock market traders in Taiwan dump Asus stock, it looks like Asus might be getting ready to pull the plug on its motherboard business unit. The bad news doesn’t stop here, as Digitimes is reporting that Pegatron will be focusing on ASRock rather than Asus and as such Asus will only be outsourcing about 30 percent of its motherboard business to Pegatron. The rest will apparently be going to an FIC subsidiary in China. This isn’t a good sign as FIC was never known as a high quality motherboard manufacturer. If Asus ends up having quality issues it could see consumers jumpin…
