  1. Just curious, who else except those two? ...and when Andre doesn't work for ASUS, there's only Vince left + those I do not remember.
  2. Counterexample: if 5/5 equals 165/165, then 1/1 (or 2/2 if you like) equals 5/5, which again equals 165/165. Though, the opposite must also be true: 1/5 equals 1/165, but... which one gets the most points? By that logic I should get 50 points for all my 1/x scores, where perhaps x must be different from 1 (those would get 50 and 0.1 at the same time, so perhaps 25 is reasonable?). Feel free to adjust this in the next update If you think about it: say you're 5/5 a day or two after a new product hit the shelves. If another 160 people submit their scores your score has to be REALLY bad if all those 160 folks beat you, right? It's reasonable to assume at least a few of those would be even worse, unless your score is... garbage.
  3. The rules are 100% clear. 1 video card is 1 video card. +1 for Mike here. The customer is always right, no? Thumbs up to MSI for providing another board!
  4. Yeah, if anything it should be the other way around (5th out of 5 is "better" than 165th out of 165).
  5. This is correct, however, if you list the best results in that sport, you'd get a tied 1st spot, not 1st and 2nd if the scores are the same. I feel it's quite inaccurate to assume an older score is at a higher skill level, a result is a result - time is only a variable because we didn't find a better solution at the time. Option 2 is no doubt the most fair one to every bencher - you tie a result, you get the same points for the same skills shown.
  6. In theory, not a bad idea to add gaming benchmarks. However, say we add a Blackops II benchmark tomorrow. In less than a year the same people who say "Can run Blackops II at xxx FPS!!" won't care, as the next CoD-game will be out. In the end we'll have too many benchmarks if we want to support all the most popular games out there.
  7. I don't remember your exact case, but I think the pro requirements are stronger now than before. Based on what you say here you're probably free to join the Xtreme league. This is not official, though need someone else to confirm it.
  8. # 1 + 2 would mean pro oc I think. # 3 means you either must go pro, or unboint those scores. They can still be in the database, though. No comments on # 4 + 5. These words are not official answers, just my thoughts.
  9. Though, IF there are drawbacks, like increased server load by a fair margin, or it takes too much coding time, the current situation is not a disaster, by all means.
  10. I'm not PJ, but you can still use ES, just not current gen. if you ask me, this should stay the same. I should probably look this up, but I THINk you can still post ES scores, just unboint them. When next gen is out, you'll get the points. What we'll do with the heavily sponsored guys that do not want to compete in that sort of competitions is something we need to discuss as well. Allowing those people in the Xtreme league means the Xtreme league is the same as it was a couple of years ago, apart from those who then decide to participate in the Pro OC Cup instead.
  11. How come you don't fry anything? Certain parts of my "modded" board are fairly hot already, folding at 3.5Ghz/1.175v. Great result, I need to do something later.
  12. Perhaps bonus points for being #1 at certain points during the stages could be awarded?
  13. I don't like method 3 either, efficiency is good, but points are based on scores, not tweaking level. Maybe the same user didn't have the skills to push the last few mhz out of the chip, too - by that reasoning we could reward the max points to the score with the HIGHEST frequency. Method 2 is the usual method in sports, i'd go with that if possible.
  14. Sick voltage. 1500w PSU or what? I'll give it a shot later... my OS was really slow, lagged a bit while launching the threads.
  15. I know this is legit, so it won't be blocked. But pleeease add it in the future And congrats
  16. Ah, I got it... I think this chip is a 12 core Interlagos model, which is more or less an opteron 6238
  17. Strange efficiency here... lemme see if it's because it's a 3c CPU setup... HMM!
  18. Thought I had this... but tried to weak my OS and fucked it up a bit just made it worse. Dannnng... Try to add the mem tab for future subs, it's "kinda" mandatory regardless of being a server or not.
  19. Good idea. And the same should go for # of sockets (like Opteron 1xxx chips should only have single socket as an option).
  20. I would say 4 as a maximum. MAYBE 5, but definately not more than that.
