  1. 210e comes witt propus core sometimes, 215... never seen it as anything but regor, and 220 could have C3 deneb core, but I haven't been able to find one of those yet. As for pictures of the rare chips, I'll take care of that, but I'm rather busy these days so don't expect it to happen overnight. I've got a set of pictures of a tray with most of the ones in question. The 945 BE pic will be useless, it's blank - only got ES marked in the lower right corner. The others got some "ES part numbers" at least http://www.abload.de/img/img_2470g9ynt.jpg http://www.abload.de/img/img_2467j7xem.jpg http://www.abload.de/img/img_2465dil8h.jpg http://www.abload.de/img/img_2464yryzn.jpg In case you can't read the ES stuff: 4th last letter is the stock core count (3 = tri-core, 4 = quad and so on), letter 3 and 4 (25-28 for the 4xx/6xx ES chips) give you the clock speed, 2.5-2.8GHz. You have to take my word for it unless someone can verify it.
  2. You're probably right, it should've been disallowed from the very beginning. Too bad it wasn't mentioned in the "forbidden" list, and that nobody noticed this earlier. I would've pulled it right away if so but 2.5 weeks is very little time to actually start looking for more x2 5600+'s. After all, I can't just walk into a store and buy a chip of four, these need to be purchased and shipped from abroad - not to mention they need to be benched. Plus, there is really no difference other than a 0.05v drop in stock voltage between the regular and the SE model. Given it's 89W TDP it's really just an x2 5600+ with an Opteron label on it. Personally I feel it's a bit too late to start blocking CPU models this late, but I understand if people think I'm just protecting my score when I say these things.
  3. You've also got other issues. Like, if the memory speed/timings are different, why should we reward the one with the highest memory performance? It doesn't make it more EFFICIENT if you take memory into account. There's more to OCing than the CPU, though that part is the most vital one for 2D. Even mobos make a difference. Not your fault if a certain model is slower than one used by a competitor, is it?
  4. You guys should be glad I'm not in charge here, I'd kick your asses out of the forum for a little while. Darn idiots...
  5. AFAIK any K8 CPU released in 2006 is allowed in this stage, which includes 5600+ and Opteron 1220. I see that F3 chips are not mentioned in the "allowed" list, but the forbidden list only includes 6000+ and 6400+ (I think Opteron 1222 and 1224 should be there as well), which implies that 5600+ ones are OK. I'll let someone else take a look at this, perhaps the stage page needs to be updated a little.
  6. Ticket ID: 1679 Priority: Low I didn\'t åay attention tothis earlie,r but I just realized you guys tend to write \"MHz\" and \"GHz\" the wrong way (ghz or Mhz for example).\r\n\r\nhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hertz - there\'s a table on this page.\r\n\r\nVery, very low priority, but it would be cool to see it fixed at some point looks more professional that way.
  7. Nothing happens when I open it on an xp install with a barton.
  8. Another one: system requirements? (want to know what CPUs that can run this benchmark)
  9. Seems to work. Needs to be added to the benchmark page IMO. Thanks
  10. Weird, I only see the screenshots when I press the submit button, although it says the xml file has been created.
  11. so, where is the xml file stored?
  12. The majority got it "right" (from our POV), though:p
  13. I'd rather compare it to... say downhill, except it goes on forever - you never really run out of racers. The guy who runs first gets time x minutes and xx.xx seconds. Then, if number 60 gets the exact same times, there are TWO guys in the lead, and if they stay on top there will be two gold medals awarded.
  14. Current gen ES are not allowed. I don't see the issue using older engineering samples, though - that would be ebay items rather than sponsored, hand picked stuff.
  15. You might want to add this chip to the "not allowed list": http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/K8/AMD-Athlon%20X2%20BE-2350%20-%20ADH2350IAA5DD%20%28ADH2350DDBOX%29.html as well as all those singlecore Lima models
  16. I don't get the Xeon issue either. Hell, it's not even a Xeon challenge *gets crazy idea, will PM Vince later*
  17. I had a 6400 01 capable mid-09 chip. Nothing more recent than that. I THINk I bought a 2010 made E3110 that hasn't arrived yet
  18. You can always argue that it's more difficult to OC... say Athlon XP today than a few years ago, too - today you've got very few people who can give you advice, as those who benched it back then don't remember all the 'smart stuff'. Also, the interesting forum threads related to thse cpus are much harder to find, not to mention that a bunch of information is probaly lost (dead forums, broken img links etc).
  19. You should've seen what PSCheck looks like on my server... neat and tidy on that rig. On a 4P server? FORGET IT:D
  20. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Intel-Core-2-Duo-E8400-3-00-GHz-Dual-Core-Processor-/281034580246?pt=CPUs&hash=item416ef76116 Q114D
  21. I remembered Nick 2 minutes after posting I didn't know Elmor and Kinc worked for some companies. I just recently read that Dino is a jigga emplyee, too:p I don't really pay much attention, do I?!? Though it's not about working for a company in the end, it's what sort of support you get. You sit there killing Titans like a mofo (like Vinbo is doing these days), you're for sure a pro. You work for Gigabyte and get a UP7 or two... that's something completely different. I guess Dino has access to more than that, though:D
  22. I sort of agree Though I dont think all the pro league participants are real pros, and therefore should not be 'allowed' to vote in your poll. A bunch of the "old" pros were just XOL guys who asked to be moved. My vote is just as valid as theirs.
  23. I'll throw my 2 cents on a couple of matters as well. In terms of a "forced" move due do sponsorship it should ONLY be about the level of sponsorships. You can clean the floor at ASUS HQ, but you shouldn't be forced to go pro. I have no way to confirm that Ronaldo is only receiving a couple of PSUs here and there etc, which are worth alot less than what a bunch of others get anyway - people who are not hired by a specific company, and are allowed to stay in the XOC league. If person X gets good worth $1000 from ASUS, MSI and Gigabyte, why is that any different than getting $1000 worth of stuff from Corsair? It is not. I feel we need to raise the "pro" bar a bit here, and Ronaldo should be allowed to participate in the XOC. About the TeamAU-account: if you want to join the XOC, at least split it into individual accounts first. Five guys competing against individuals... that's far from what that league is designed for.
