  1. You two... Are we competing in lowest time or highest vdimm? Very impressive results guys!
  2. Yeah, I'm not gonna come close to Noxinite. Trying out 1866 cl6 etc which should be fine but get corrupt OS after each boot. 10m 57.687s best so far Calathea`s SuperPi - 32M score: 10min 57sec 687ms with a Core 2 Duo E8600
  3. No idea, can only add that I use Corsair Dominator GT hypers, which works really good on both rex and 790i.
  4. Maybe I remember incorrectly, can only seem to find reference to Hipro's 6 x 653 run for sub 11 min category. http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?228269-Super-Pi-32M-Low-Clock-Challenge Your result is crazy efficient with so low fsb, it'using fsb 200 strap right?
  5. Yeah well I've only ever seen 1 more efficient reult with hipro's 6x666 fsb run and D9's. Sooo ok, I'll do my best anyway
  6. Can someone explain quickly how challenges work? In almost all cases they seem to end earlier than stated. Don't wanna miss this. Also, nice to see you here Infra!
  7. We'll see, it might surprise you how quick other boards than rex can be.
  8. I'm gonna get my butt kicked, but I might join 790i and hypers.
  9. Yeah, take care not to break it off if you wanna use it again. The card works without temp monitoring and fan control when you disable it so not the best for every day use. On the other hand noone uses this old card like that anymore...
  10. Ah yes Firekiller is correct, it's 16 pin one not 8. This is the actual chip my friend cut off his card. https://www.onsemi.com/pub/Collateral/ADT7473-D.PDF "Remote thermal monitor and fan control".
  11. If I remember correctly you can desolder the 8-pin SMD chip that handles temperature control. (Or just cut the VDD pin) It was a long time ago now but I remember a friend did that on his GTX 280 to avoid cold slow on LN2. Might help you in this case too.
  12. Did you see any gains from changing this? I have a few fermi cards laying around, would be fun to delid them. Stuck at 950-980 MHz core on air now.
  13. It's a ridicilous product for it's intended market lol. But the memory sticks with proadlizer caps just got me thinking "hey this could be used for overclocking"
  14. What's up? In my nowadays much more common audiophile googling I stumbled upon this gem. Most certainly a real game changer for overclocking? For audio I'm not so sure... However they also offer highly engineered add on cards with very pretty colors and round thingys which I imagine will increase hard drive speeds, improve graphics and reduce fan noise. Take a look and prepare to be amazed. HIFI PC filter&Sound card collection on eBay! What a time to be alive.
  15. Done that without improvement, but I will try a DOS format to completely overwrite eveything
  16. Been there done that. I think this mobo is damaged in some way, but can't put my finger on what.
  17. Mother of all peltiers do you have pictures or build thread, I'd love to see it!
  18. If I could get the system to use more than 1 GB RAM in 32-bit, then I would thank you
  19. FYI I noticed this on my 970 too, dropped to ~ 1500 MHz. Although my experience from gpgpu (bitcoin ) is that memory clock does not affect performance.
