  1. AFAIK, its only happening to PURE and XMS. Either that or its a co-incidence and they want their entire page hidden from view? Its a total blackout. Cant view the members profiles, or any team stuff
  2. That will create a lot of extra work for the result mods wont it? I can think of a fair few examples where flashing BIOS to a different card will improve OC and performance. Submitting it as the card it was sold as is gonna get a load of reported results. How will the card be proven?
  3. I like seeing full screenshots, Id like to see them present too as well as FM links. Sure, theres the odd occasion where the perfect screeny cant be captured- if FM is down or theres fear of a crash but... when possible... sure
  4. Whats the best way to get the driver I want on though? If I try installing say... a 9800GTX+ with 169.21, when I start the installation, the driver reports something like "no compatable hardware detected, setup wil now close" but... if I use an older card to get the drivers installed, when I swap to the 9800GTX+, il be asked to install drivers, connected to "new hardware found....." then I come back to the problem above... wont I? Doesnt the driver installation only interrogate the .inf in its own package to determine compatability? What i said in post 1 is wrong I think?
  5. I have no idea how to do this...apparently its possible though. If I wanted to run say... a GTS250/9800GTX on 169.21 drivers... can I/ how would I mod the .inf file to add-in support? The driver package is closed so the drivers would have to be installed first, with a different (supported) card hooked up.. then mod the .inf then install the card we want... then reinstall the drivers on top and hope the inf is untouched? Would that work? Hope this makes sense K
  6. So we'll get pics of pretty naked women every time we submit a good result and our computers will give us beer for golden cups??
  7. 185.85 is AM3 suicide from the testing iv done (G92 though)
  8. They (generally probably) arent benchers do they care about HWB points? They have enough awareness of the software and the site and are doing this because they can I dont understand why very few people think this is any kind of problem
  9. I believe that multiple physical CPUs should be split off into their own categories, the same as SLI and CF are split now. Just because enthusiast-level CPUs will improve over time and "our" times will come down- I do not think thats a valid arguement. Smae thing has happened in GPU categories but they are still split. Can servers be classed as readily available? Its not just a question of money, but of space and power too (from what I know of servers)
  10. This is about the "xxx results have changed rank or position in the last 7 days" "Most active members/teams/components in time period x" etc Please can the date peroid be explicitly given for these updates or please can we only be given this news once a week at a set time? To see it change every day "for the last 7 days" is realllllyyyyyy annoying and a bit confusing. A set of cutoffs would also be nice so we arent being given old data updated with new bits every day Is the data overlapping? or...is there an option for a user to disable the whole lot?
  11. Thankee kindly sir
  12. This has been dragging on for almost 2 weeks now, I dont like prodding the result mods but its a double whammy for me and its beginning to grate. 1/ The guy in 1st place is using GPU PhysX (AMD dually @ 2.6GHz, CPU score- 22K) 2/ I was knocked down to 2nd place because of it then some guy reported MY score for using PhysX when i've not. Please can some kindly soul clear this up? as a minor extra to point one, the guy has almost mis-labelling his GPU clocks. Hes at 750/ 1030, not 575/850
  13. Oh! I didnt know those drivers covered most of the 7900 series. Thanks massman

  15. LOL I wanna submit some Winchester results marked as L-He cooled. "I appear to have missed the coldbug threshold by... oohh....195oC"
  16. LOL VERY weird loop times. From 0.7 to 2.0 secs (ignoring initial value, Loop1 and loop2)

  19. Hey bro Welcome to the forum! I have a 5600+ here. For a 24/7 system, I love it. Id be willing to give up a chunk of performance for AMD purely because of AMDs mounting mechanism!!
  20. Pffft...amateurs. thinking the BIOS doesnt support USB keyboard? That needs power!! Ever forgot to turn on the PSU..or plug it into the mains?!
  21. I agree with this. I dont see what the big deal is. Do you want another PCM05 scenario where results are utterly skewed because of the way the bench is coded? Rules are rules. Theres no reason to be in the huff, everyone is in the same boat.
  22. http://www.hwbot.org/compare.do?resultId=632592 Based on the CPU used and the MHz, comparing the run to the results behind it, this *might* be an SLI result? Either that or everyone else has completely misinterpreted where the GPU bottleneck kicks in and all their extra CPU power is going to waste
  23. NONE of this is meant as a put-down to the country or websites: Why is Germany represented by a specific forum/ website when all the others are simply flying under their Nations Flag? Why arent you and Marc involved anywhere if its down to big names?
  24. France, Germany, Spain, Japan and Italy all jump out Theres major benchers in all those countries!
  25. I've managed to get 970MHz RAM to boot fine in tri-channel mode but so far I dont have the stability (might well be voltage). Once it knocks itself down to 2-channel, stability is much better. Also appears to be more likely to boot into tri-channel mode from a cold boot before the chip has risen up to stable running temp I need sooo much more test time... the stuff I have to get done just stretches off into the future
