Can't release the BIOS ?

Oh, okay, interesting. So the one in my thread is rev1.0 and the ADP4100 is rev2.0?

CBB is solved with the XtremeCool switches on the back - both should be ON.

LN2 bios is not on the card? It should be I think?

Cookie, remember I had the '51' error too after testing the bios you sent me? Needed the "cookie profile" for everything to start working. But, eventually here's a workaround: 1) load default options 2) change memory divider to 2666 - do not touch anything else 3) save and reboot => should be no 51 4) change bclk to 101 or 102 5) save and reboot => shutdown and boot and no 51 This worked for me on the UP7. If I would change too much after a CMOS clear, I would still get the 51. Especially if I would change the BCLK together with the memory multiplier. Also, I needed to load the optimised defaults if 51 fail.

So, I've been breaking my head over the PCIe on/off feature implementations on the various boards. As far as I know, the PCIe on/off switch is implementated on three boards/series: - Rampage III Extreme BE - Evga X58 Classified 4-Way - Evga Classified SR2 - Rampage IV Extreme (and later ROG boards) - ASRock Z77 OC Formula - MSI Z77 Mpower Now, if I understand the ROG marketing about the PCIe debug correctly the purpose of the switches is two-fold: - debug graphics cards - prevent condensation from killing multi-vga setup In very simple terms, there are two parts of the PCIe lane: the first (smallest) part is power, the other is data signal (see image below). I assume that, if the PCIe is completely disabled both the power and the data signal should be shut off, causing the graphics card to not work. If only the signal is cut off, the card is still powered on but the data is just not sent to the screen. I'm trying to figure out if there's a different implementation of the PCIe enable/disable switch on the various boards out there. I tested the switch on the Z77 OC Formula and found something interesting. Here's the test: - use vga that does not require external power (all power comes from PCIe slot) Test: - go in bios - disable pcie => screen goes blank - enable pcie => screen comes back up Since the screen comes back up, I assume the pcie switch just cuts the data signal but not the power. When measuring the vgpu of the card, it stays the same when enabled and disabled, so I figure the assumption is correct. I don't have an ROG board at hand, but I was told the PCIe is completely shut off - both power and data signal. Could someone who has all the boards do a test to verify? So: - use vga without power connector - go in bios - enable/disable - measure vgpu and check behavior Wish I could do it myself Thanks!

Hey all, Just wanted to open a thread to give you the tools to use to "replicate" that 7.93G frequency record of NickShih. According to Nick, two tools are needed: - PSCheck 3.4.1: download - 1.02V bios: download - 1.02S bios: download - 1.02R bios: download - 1.02D bios: download Use PSCheck to lower the frequency and voltage in idle mode ~ similar to the LN2 mode on the Gigabyte board. Then set the overclock and use PSCheck to set to P0 state for high clock. Figure out which of the 4 cores are clocking the highest. Here's a PSCheck tutorial for novice users. Just FYI ... //edit: Here's HKEPC's video tutorial (with asus board, but principle is of course the same)

It almost sounds like the stock operating system is just installing a driver that is incompatible with the Z77 platform. Maybe an outdated system driver or so.

Massman replied to Massman's topic in HWBOT Development: bugs, features and suggestions
How about "freezing" the points fo benchmarks that are removed? So when a benchmark is "not active", the global points for the submissions that were submitted will be frozen and not lost. You can still submit results for non-active benchmarks, but you will not get points for it. This way, voting a benchmark out will not make you lose the points you worked for in the last couple of years. -

- overall benchmark record => "World record" - global benchmark record (1xGPU etc) => "Global Record" - hardware record => "Hardware Record" I'm open to suggestinos for other words than 'record' too. Record is easy to understand though. -

Live at Akiba? You're in japan? Thanks for the information on the CPUs, interesting to see such big gains on the older chips. Can you share the batch of the 7.9GHz CPU? -

That would contradict with the hatemails I've been receiving from my Belgian team mates The engine will automatically pick up the results anyway. The engine has no overruling functionality. -

I agree. What about using "hardware record" and "hwbot global record" ?
