max1024
I have a question about Pentium 1 PiFast. What sockets and CPU family is allowed? Does Pentium Pro allowed? Or only P54C, P54CS, P55C, Pentium OverDrive and Pentium Mobile (Tillamook) allowed in this test?

Pentium Pro was a 6th generetion cpu (P6 architecture) along with the Pentium II cpu's.

TASOS
How are we supposed to compete with older scores done with v1.82? Â Â If , we are not allowed to use version 1.82 , then there is no-way we can come close to those scores.
Mr.Scott
Wasn't there a latency bug in 1.82? I'b be all in for dumping the current subs in the comp and just using the current version (2.01) to keep everybody on a level field.
I.nfraR.ed
Yes, there was a latency bug in some of the versions, probably 1.82. Didn't test, but it appeared when you boot at higher clocks and then clock down the fsb a notch or two within OS. Â Rules on hwbot say we should use the latest official version, which seems to be 2.01, but on the hwbot site 1.95 is linked. It seems these records will never be broken. I.nfraR.ed
I'm already close to the top scores, but only with the old version. It's impossible with newer versions. Â Â
Rasparthe
If the version has a known bug then the subs should be removed, seems reasonable
Mr.Scott
If the version has a known bug then the subs should be removed, seems reasonable I agree. Being that only us three have subs in now, we should get the rule clarified by MM and save the hassle later, if we're all in agreement. GENiEBEN
Personal opinion, and I will enforce it unless told otherwise by staff: The minimum version to be used should be the one linked on site (1.95), although I would recommend latest version to avoid altercations. Â If it were up to me I would delete 1.82 as well, but this benchmark can be latency bugged anyway, no matter the version

No reason to use bugged apps. The rules page also stated "latest version", which V1.82 is not.  I adjusted the rules page to reflect this: http://hwbot.org/news/1592_application_19_rules
