Moose83 Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 Yes same question, Afterburner Extreme and LN2 Bios will be shared by MSI for all Compitors? Quote
Alan_Alberino Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 It is going to be a very hard competition, I want to compete in Class B but I dont have GPU pot and dont have money for LN2 (Only DICE) so I dont have many chances Quote

FatBoyNotSoSlim Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 So we in Class B are looking at N750 1GD5/OCV1 N750 2GD5/OC N750 TF 1GD5/OC N750 1GD5/OC is it unlikely that we could expect a "Hawk" or something to be released with a decent VRM? or more likely that this is it for the product range and thats it? They'd need to release it by July 1st for this rule: Not allowed: engineering samples, Lucid Virtu MVP, hardware that is not commercially available at the beginning of the competition. Quote
Massman Posted June 18, 2014 Author Posted June 18, 2014 Hey Massman, quick one... do you perhaps have a release schedule or something for the G3258 and when it will be available worldwide? Out of interest i wanted to do a costing exercise on the cost to compete in class b vs class a (even though I already have everything for class a) and out of the 6 distro's i called not one knew or knows when it will be available. i see 25th on newegg but can find no info for the rest of us in aaaafrica.. 25/06 is the date I got as well. Last week of June. It may not be available in some countries, but in this globalized world it shouldn't be too difficult getting your hands on some chips? Quote
Massman Posted June 18, 2014 Author Posted June 18, 2014 Next question, Pro overclockers allowed to compete in Class B or not? Sure. The only people not allowed to compete in Class B are the MOA finalists of last year. Quote
Massman Posted June 18, 2014 Author Posted June 18, 2014 Msi release ln2 bios for all the cards? That's important. They said yes, but let me check to be sure anyway Quote
steponz Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Also, where is the line drawn between the 4 US participants? This could be a problem. Quote
saint19 Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 4790K for Class A I guess, Class B is limited to Intel Pentium G3258 CPU. Quote
steponz Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Class a should be 4770k and 4790k.. based upon amazon 4770k should be available the 25th.. it was supposed to be release on the 20th. Quote
Mikecdm Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Also, where is the line drawn between the 4 US participants? This could be a problem. To clarify, Quote
Moose83 Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 All i see is a lot of US Guys on MOA Im still not happy with this ``Rule`` Quote
der8auer Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Will 4790k be able to be used in this comp? Not allowed: ...hardware that is not commercially available at the beginning of the competition... 4790K has been released already few weeks ago so yes you can use it Only the release date matters. Not the local availability. Quote
steponz Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Interesting.. who else is competing from the east? I'm in tampa.. so.. Quote
Splave Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 All i see is a lot of US Guys on MOA Im still not happy with this ``Rule`` We are kind of a large market Quote
