Corsair DDR4 PLX dimms:

Overclockers.UK already has these listed for pre-order Here's the extract from their website:

Vengeance LPX memory is designed for high-performance overclocking. The heatspreader is made of pure aluminum for faster heat dissipation, and the eight-layer PCB helps manage heat and provides superior overclocking headroom. Each IC is individually screened for performance potential.

The DDR4 form factor is optimized for the latest Intel X99 Series motherboards and offers higher frequencies, greater bandwidth, and lower power consumption than DDR3 modules. Vengeance LPX DDR4 modules are compatibility-tested across X99 Series motherboards for reliably fast performance. There’s XMP 2.0 support for trouble-free automatic overclocking. And, they’re available in multiple colors to match your motherboard, your components, or just your style.

you shot them first in Germany man, I only got them today and opened the box, took some shots... Now if Corsair wants them pulled I'll pull them. However I don't see the issue, as these were already all over the web this afternoon on the major British sites... I really digg the simplistic low profile heatspreader design...

I also wonder how Corsair are planning to make these do spec since DDR3-2800 multi doesn't seem to be working. BCLK overclock via XMP?

That's what I am guessing also. Crucial has 2800 MHz sticks as well. Now just waiting for G Skill :D

when will the timings go down..I want to see the return of Cl6/7/8! :D

or is that wishful thinking? :P

nice looking sticks!

Short answer: yes :)

First pieces of any new tech is...shabby...to be nice. Wait 1 year and then real modules with real specs will come out. It has been the same with DDR3, DDR2, etc.

Why are the contacts longer in the middle?

Also I don't think this is as impressive as going from ddr2>ddr3

They're longer in the middle to make it easier to put it in a dimm slot, which kinda works.
