Crew Leeghoofd Posted August 14, 2014 Crew Posted August 14, 2014 (edited) Overclockers.UK already has these listed for pre-order Here's the extract from their website: Vengeance LPX memory is designed for high-performance overclocking. The heatspreader is made of pure aluminum for faster heat dissipation, and the eight-layer PCB helps manage heat and provides superior overclocking headroom. Each IC is individually screened for performance potential. The DDR4 form factor is optimized for the latest Intel X99 Series motherboards and offers higher frequencies, greater bandwidth, and lower power consumption than DDR3 modules. Vengeance LPX DDR4 modules are compatibility-tested across X99 Series motherboards for reliably fast performance. There’s XMP 2.0 support for trouble-free automatic overclocking. And, they’re available in multiple colors to match your motherboard, your components, or just your style. Specification:- - 2800MHz (PC4-23000) - CAS Timings: 16-18-18-36 - Voltage: 1.20v Edited August 29, 2014 by Leeghoofd Quote
TaPaKaH Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Funny, DDR3 can run 1400MHz at almost half the timings Quote
Massman Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Lol, next time tell me you have special toys Albrecht! Quote
Crew Leeghoofd Posted August 14, 2014 Author Crew Posted August 14, 2014 (edited) you shot them first in Germany man, I only got them today and opened the box, took some shots... Now if Corsair wants them pulled I'll pull them. However I don't see the issue, as these were already all over the web this afternoon on the major British sites... I really digg the simplistic low profile heatspreader design... Edited August 14, 2014 by Leeghoofd Quote
Massman Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 It's okay, I will pass by again next week before flying back to the East ... Quote
TaPaKaH Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 I also wonder how Corsair are planning to make these do spec since DDR3-2800 multi doesn't seem to be working. BCLK overclock via XMP? Quote
VSG Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 That's what I am guessing also. Crucial has 2800 MHz sticks as well. Now just waiting for G Skill Quote
Crew Leeghoofd Posted August 15, 2014 Author Crew Posted August 15, 2014 Quadruple Bandwidth Hiwa man... Quote
Jimba Posted August 16, 2014 Posted August 16, 2014 when will the timings go down..I want to see the return of Cl6/7/8! or is that wishful thinking? nice looking sticks! Quote
rsnubje Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 I also wonder how Corsair are planning to make these do spec since DDR3-2800 multi doesn't seem to be working. BCLK overclock via XMP? Short answer: yes Quote
Monstru Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 First pieces of any new tech is...shabby...to be nice. Wait 1 year and then real modules with real specs will come out. It has been the same with DDR3, DDR2, etc. Quote
Crew Vivi Posted August 22, 2014 Crew Posted August 22, 2014 (edited) Jake knows my address to: Michal V. potato it will reach you Edited August 22, 2014 by Vivi Quote
RamboOC Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 Why are the contacts longer in the middle? Also I don't think this is as impressive as going from ddr2>ddr3 Quote
rsnubje Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 They're longer in the middle to make it easier to put it in a dimm slot, which kinda works. Quote
Splave Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 Why are the contacts longer in the middle? thats what she said Quote
