Guest TheMadDutchDude

I saw what happened to your cracklake on FB, Vivi. Bad luck! :(

It makes me very cautious to try it on mine, aside from the fact that I need it for reviews.

i bought 2 cpu's my best cpu i found in this batch. Then i bought 10 more of the same batch, and find close cpus but still not better than my 1st purchase haha. It's better to rely on destiny/luck instead of odds :D.

data: lowest vid wins. scaling is linear. great batch

Few 6700k's turned up today, should get them checked on a water loop today / tomorrow (will post once done) and cold next week. (1st time freezing! :D )

L328B167 x2

L329B200 x1

L332B112 x2

From what i can gather they really need a delid to fully test on LN2. Would testing them before this still give a good indication of potential or will i be thermally limited way to early to tell? Not sure i want to delid every chip but i guess delid/paste/seal will be beneficial for new owners anyway...

its tough to check performance without delidding on ln2. Even using 2 cores only you might be 300mhz off the real max!

cool man give us some vids and 5ghz results on water

^this

I thought my chip was gonna be crap as it wouldn't boot 5ghz under water but after a delid and ln2 i'm close to 6.2ghz and i dont think its finished yet as i havn't maxed out temps or voltage yet.

First touch on skylake!

L526B899 Batch 6700k. No delid yet.

VID 1.21v

Lowest I managed to boot into win 7 at 5g was 1.38v measured from multimeter.

5ghz Hwbot prime 1.39v on water

1497908.jpg

4.8 cache went easy at 1.38v, still need to test more.

I got one of the same batch. Have tested 8 6700K so far. When I tested mine it seemed to scale very much with temperature and not so much with volts. My feeling is that it might be good. Bought two more after that one but they were bad :)

Haven't tested on LN2 yet but my best L526B899 does 5GHz HWBOT Prime at 1.38V. 4.9GHz at 1.31V. Boot windows 7 5GHz at 1.39V. Not delidded yet.

I just bought one :D.

Do other settings than vcore help with core? What is the cpu audity or whatever it is called do? Setting ranges from 700mV to 1000mV.

Don't have audity on my MB. There are many voltages that help or may help with different things such as CB, CBB or of course frequency and memory. I don't think anyone has the whole picture just yet. You still have to try everything out. But a good start is the ASUS and the MSI guides.
