RULE Posted December 24, 2015 Posted December 24, 2015 Hi all, just the other day after team.au aquamark submission i've discovered the existing of samsunb-b die. Searching in EU shop i've found a kit with not much information on the web, Geil Dragon PC4-32000 4000 cl19-25-25-45 1.4v 2x8GB KIT (GWW416GB4000C19DC). Even on Geil official website there's nothing about this kit, but since all the DDR4 Dragon I've seen was single side and this kit was 2x8GB i've try to purchase with the hope to find Sumsung-b die. Lucky me it is. So i see the the Loud Silence 32M of yesterday on Z170M OCF, my Big Yellow is on the way home after RMA, the MOCF is not available yet in EU, so i've run some XTU on Asus Z170 Gene. Nothing against Asus, i just prefer the Yellow Board. Starting from here @ 1,70v Here @ 1,80V Again @ 1,80v very thight 1900 @ 1,85v very thight There's more in this kit, tomorrow i'll try some cold. 1 Quote

RULE Posted December 24, 2015 Author Posted December 24, 2015 Mems look good, on impact or 2 dimm ocf they will most likely fly I'm curios with 4 dimm will be crazy efficient in XTU, but 700€ is a lot of money. Quote

GtiJason Posted December 24, 2015 Posted December 24, 2015 After reading this I was curious to see what info I could find, not exactly what I was looking for but a good laugh none the least. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA0192FM9302&cm_re=geil-_-9SIA0192FM9302-_-Product Quote

Thank you for your tests. 32GB good on big OCF, at least for 3700 12-12-12 but it needs 2T, so on Asus they should go much higher and no problem with 1T as the layout is better optimized for 4 dimm operation. Little board, well we know they work quite well on it Quote
RULE Posted December 24, 2015 Author Posted December 24, 2015 Where from you found this kit? Nice kit! Easy to find in EU, try google https://www.google.com/search?q=GWW416GB4000C19DC&oq=GWW416GB4000C19DC&aqs=chrome..69i57j69i61&sourceid=chrome&es_sm=93&ie=UTF-8 Quote

So the question is what's faster 2DIMMs at 4000Mhz+ or 4DIMMs around 3800Mhz. Should be close. Then there's also the mystery of DS. Quote
RULE Posted December 25, 2015 Author Posted December 25, 2015 Quick run just befor Christmas lunch. CPU@AIO - RAM@SS -58°c 2,0v Good news, there's no CB until -58°c. But is hard found stability, need more time and cpu with better cooling. 1 Quote
Guest george.kokovinis Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 Folks, If my questions are stupid, please do not throw rocks or anything else:D 1) Would four of these single sided B-die sticks work correctly on X99 platform as quad channel setup ? ( Asus RVE ) 2) How much safe voltage tolerance is there for ram sticks and IMC on X99 ? I am currently running G.Skill Ripjaws 4 - 3200, 4x4gb, 13-14-16-16-270-1T with 1.55V and never had an issue. Would such an expensive 700 Euros upgrade ( if applicable ) offer noticeable improvements ? Thanks for any feedback folks:) Quote
Guest george.kokovinis Posted December 26, 2015 Posted December 26, 2015 nope George it won't THANK YOU VERY MUCH ! Appreciated. I thought that the answer would be negative - just a long shot. I will go with the new G.Skill 3666, recently introduced for X99. If I can find them:( Quote
Alex@ro Posted December 26, 2015 Posted December 26, 2015 3666 for x99?where? Sent from my SM-N910F using Tapatalk Quote
Crew Leeghoofd Posted December 26, 2015 Crew Posted December 26, 2015 THANK YOU VERY MUCH ! Appreciated. I thought that the answer would be negative - just a long shot. It might bring a minuscule extra for benching, but not worthwhile the extra cost man... some stuff is just over-rated... Faster memory speed is not always better Quote

Doug2507 Posted December 26, 2015 Posted December 26, 2015 Don't see the point in those, just get b die and put em in x99. E die ran no problem. Quote
Doug2507 Posted December 26, 2015 Posted December 26, 2015 I'd expect 3400 11 11 11 or less with b die on air on x99, looking forward to testing! Quote
