Crew Trouffman Posted September 6, 2011 Crew Posted September 6, 2011 but on a 1 day time frame switching between XP for 01/ spi then 7 for 3Dmark11... seems quite a tight timing... Quote
DrWeez Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 but on a 1 day time frame switching between XP for 01/ spi then 7 for 3Dmark11... seems quite a tight timing... The best of the best are competing so that should not be a challenge....right? Quote
Mean Machine Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Not exactly hard to just swap disks. Tweaking within a given time frame is a part of every live competition, meaning it shouldn't be a problem really. Quote
Massman Posted September 6, 2011 Author Posted September 6, 2011 Let's be honest, there's always plenty of time at each competition to first fail 20 times and still get a competitive score up. Quote
Crew Leeghoofd Posted September 6, 2011 Crew Posted September 6, 2011 but on a 1 day time frame switching between XP for 01/ spi then 7 for 3Dmark11... seems quite a tight timing... They are not french Osses, so no problemo Quote

The truth of fail.... Massman has spoken i can't go against this statement ! They are not french Osses, so no problemo That might be a goos reason ^^ Tha might also be a reason why MSI don't want me at the event... Quote

pastelidis Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 Stelaras spoke with Chinese embassy in Greece, and someone from the office told him that we dont need VISA for Taiwan from Greece... For you Guys, take a look here and also call your own chinese embassy to ask... http://www.boca.gov.tw/ct.asp?xItem=1443&ctNode=536&mp=2 Quote
Stelaras Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 (edited) I called the Taiwanese embassy . It's different from the Chinese embassy . Edited September 7, 2011 by Stelaras Quote
BenchBros Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 (edited) Yes, Taiwan and China are not the same... In Januar 2010 we had to fill out a form directly on the flight and we had a 90 days tourist visa... so thats the German way. I don't think it's different for other countries in the EU? Massman Posted September 9, 2011 Author Posted September 9, 2011 Small news update for the competitors. The hardware will soon be send out to the participants. MSI has noted down information like GPU batch number and added some marks to the different cards. Do note remove the marks on the card! MSI has linked the sign to a card, so it can identify a competition card. Also, don't lap the IHS of the GPU; if the card cannot be identified by the staff, you have a biiig problem. You should be getting the info on how to spot (and secure) the marks soon. Quote
