Crew Turrican Posted March 22, 2010 Author Crew Posted March 22, 2010 @Turrican: it was done to accomodate people width 1280*1024 or lower resolutions. Otherwise there are too many tabs to display. ah, okay. but is it possible to zoom into the graphs or make a popup with bigger graphs? Quote
Crew Antinomy Posted March 22, 2010 Crew Posted March 22, 2010 richba5tard, no, that's not the right way. I'm not against the info stuff - on the contrary I suggested to make a description of each hardware category shortly after rev.2. It's great if we grow wider. The thing is in not making it less convenient making int more complex, don't you agree? The tabs made the result surfing process a bit longer an the only thing I said is how this can be resolved. If you remember, I suggested to clean up the hardware database (not results) from erroneous categories and typos (and offered help in this) - why would I say this if the rankings are the only goal? knopflerbruce Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 Bug: http://hwbot.org/hardware/processor/athlon_64_fx_55_clawhammer?tab=2drankings#superpi The score that's currently on top shouldn't be there. Also, in alot of charts there are many results that are not linked to profiles, and that don't receive boints. Why are those visible? Or maybe a better question: why aren't they rewarded with boints when they are ranked? Quote
Alriin Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 Today i want to upload a Backup-Score (http://hwbot.org/community/submission/977959_) to test the Edit-Function again... but it's still doesnt work. Quote
Massman Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 Today i want to upload a Backup-Score (http://hwbot.org/community/submission/977959_) to test the Edit-Function again... but it's still doesnt work. A backup score for PCmark05 Atlon XP? Anyway, I strongly recommend no one to use the edit button to if you have a new score. The engine can't really handle it all to well and chances are the score doesn't get picked up. Submitting this as a new score is the best way to do it. Quote
Alriin Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 @Massman LOL, yes... i am a Freak. What should i do??? The HWbot-Fever overcomes me. :-) Quote

Then you should send a PM to all mods so they don't change existing scores, as I had a typo in one of my submissions and I had to reupload to make it work again after a crew member "fixed" it. Quote
knopflerbruce Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 The editing itself works, but the submissions lose all the boints after the edit (says it's not the best, even if it is). Quote
knopflerbruce Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 That's intended behavior (as the user rank may change if he changes score, app, cpu, gpu, etc), but it's also intended that rank is recalculated shortly after. That does not happen? http://hwbot.org/forum/showthread.php?t=6267 - doesn't work here, and I had the same problem myself. Seems to be the recalculation that fails. Quote
George_o/c Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 George_o/c, did you change your nickname to something exotic in the past few weeks? I can't find "George_o/c" in the database. Hey mate I spoke to Massman the day before you posted and he thought the problem was occurring due to the fact that my nickname has a slash ("/") in it. So he changed it to George_oc. Just tried to upload a score again. Same problem Quote
Snowmiss Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 On this page you see besides the picture some code Quote
Crew Antinomy Posted March 23, 2010 Crew Posted March 23, 2010 The family ranking is nice, but a bit buggy - when you look at it, for example: http://hwbot.org/hardware/processor/pentium_1_60mhz?&tab=2drankings&hardware=pentium_1_60mhz&familyId=226#wprime_32m it show different number of results in each tab - some have 10, some 8, some only 5. Besides, if we click ot the view top 100, it show the category results, though we were viewing family results. And it would be nice if the number of cores in wPrime selection would be inactive if such results do not exist in this category. For example, more than 8 cores in Pentium 1 category is not what we will see in the nearest years. Thank you for attention. Quote
knopflerbruce Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 The paypal text makes the "most popular" picture dive into the ranks when I visit this page: http://hwbot.org/browseHardwareProcessors.do?cpuSubFamilyId=5 Running FF 1280x1024 Quote
Snowmiss Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 On all benchmark pages with the world records. The tab headers start with a capital , all but the one from 'world records' (i.e. in Dutch) * Info * Regels * Download * world records * Rankings Quote
Crew Turrican Posted March 24, 2010 Author Crew Posted March 24, 2010 could it be there's a bug in the team ranking? http://hwbot.org/rankings/teams/worldwide when i click on a team the points are a lot different than when i look in the above link. Quote
Mr.Scott Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 A backup score for PCmark05 Atlon XP? I couldn't believe it either. Cost me half a point. Quote
knopflerbruce Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 I couldn't believe it either. Cost me half a point. Haha, that's EXTREME - backup for 0.5 points:D Quote
Mr.Scott Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 Haha, that's EXTREME - backup for 0.5 points:D Hardcore, that's for sure. Quote
Crew Strunkenbold Posted March 25, 2010 Crew Posted March 25, 2010 (edited) ...tried today serveral times but it wasnt possible to do this flawless. 1st problem: you have to always fill in the memory type manually, though its already filled in by maxxmem 2nd problem: maxxmem also filled correct in my cpu (xeon x3440) but after submission its always a Xeon W35xx so lets edit this and we come to problem nr 3: after editing: "not Strunkenbold’s best MaxxMem DDR3 submission, only best is ranked." wtf? this _is_ my best result.... http://hwbot.org/community/submission/979105_strunkenbold_maxxmem_ddr3_1389.4_marks Edited March 25, 2010 by Strunkenbold Quote
Crew Strunkenbold Posted March 25, 2010 Crew Posted March 25, 2010 Another thing: http://hwbot.org/hardware/videocard/geforce_6600_ddr_agp?tab=rankings#3dmark_2005 In the ranking Im 2nd but if you click on my result, Im just 3rd.... Same thing here: http://hwbot.org/hardware/processor/xeon_x3440?tab=2drankings#cpu-z Im 3rd but it ranks me 4th Quote
Crew Strunkenbold Posted March 25, 2010 Crew Posted March 25, 2010 and finally: http://hwbot.org/hardware/manufacturer/amd?tab=2drankings reference clock and maxxmem results arent displayed because they are probably wrongly linked to wprime32 Quote
knopflerbruce Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 http://hwbot.org/hardware/processor/athlon_64_4600_x2_brisbane?tab=2drankings#cpu-z Bug: CPUZ seems to be divided by # of sockets, which it shouldn't as CPUZ is a singlethreaded benchmark. It may also be an idea to remove the multi-socket and unlocking options for the CPUs that don't have these features (example: this chip doesn't run in dual socket boards and can't be unlocked), to remove the "misplaced" submissions where people count cores and not sockets. Quote
Crew Antinomy Posted March 26, 2010 Crew Posted March 26, 2010 (edited) The same for Pifast and Super pi - when you select the wPrime tab and switch to 2 CPUs, going to the single thread apps will show the results with 2*CPUs though they should be with the 1x CPU ones. If taking the same category as example, I mean this: http://hwbot.org/hardware/processor/athlon_64_4600_x2_brisbane?&tab=2drankings&hardware=athlon_64_4600_x2_brisbane&cores=4#superpi Edited March 26, 2010 by Antinomy Quote
