der8auer Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Damn that's hot. Weather forecast shows about 25°C next week. Quote
Crew Leeghoofd Posted May 28, 2013 Crew Posted May 28, 2013 Question, do we need to bring our own OC gear to the events ? I seriously hope not Quote
M.Beier Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 No secret that im a redhead and dont deal well with sun, but these days are nuts, 35C might not be that much but add 65% humidity to that.. Today I was working indoor and did not leave before 5:15 pm, even so, being out for 6 hours, is enough for making trousers smell of sweat... If you as myself dont fancy shorts in a highly polluted city, be sure to have alaundry near your accomodation... Quote
sin0822 Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Question, do we need to bring our own OC gear to the events ? I seriously hope not I think they said something about bringing your own CPU to the GB event, but i don't remember where i read that. Quote

sin0822 Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 BTW this is a nice little guide for those who are interested in TW during computex: http://weviewtaiwan.com/2013/05/27/computex-taipei/ Quote
Planet Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 For those of you competing at the Corsair event you guys should each go home with a SSD, PSU, motherboard and memory. Quote
Crew Leeghoofd Posted May 28, 2013 Crew Posted May 28, 2013 Okay that's it Jake, now you put the knife in my back, twisted it twice around and pulled it out again... why on earth do we land this late on monday Quote
Splave Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 For those of you competing at the Corsair event you guys should each go home with a SSD, PSU, motherboard and memory. dont worry if it will not fit in your bag it will fit in mine Quote
Massman Posted May 29, 2013 Author Posted May 29, 2013 You don't have to bring your own gear to the event, but if you have a CPU you want to test you can always bring it. There are not an infinite amount of pots (read: not enough for everyone to have one setup) so you'll have to share. Most of the events are for socializing anyway, right. Quote
SoF Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 (edited) Okay that's it Jake, now you put the knife in my back, twisted it twice around and pulled it out again... why on earth do we land this late on monday I'm with you - got my press invite today and seriously had to drop a tear reading that post - just 2 or 3 hours late to enter But the invitation was there, so my fault booking flights early and cheap maybe press gets bread and water at least after 24h flights Edited May 29, 2013 by SoF Quote

Btw maybe massmam can check with kingpin if he can help out as for pots... Just a silly thought of mine... Massman is only evil on part time!! Quote

IanCutress Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 I'm in meetings all day monday, otherwise I would have signed up to compete. Good luck to the competitors - it's going to be fun to hear about 8-pack making a mad dash from an OCN event on Saturday night and still have the withall to get to the Corsair event on time. By my reckoning if there's one plane delay he won't be there - unless he's not actually going to the OCN event at all. Quote
SoF Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 (edited) There is light food and open bar. And that's what you really need after a long flight and planning Hope for some good pictures of the guys in the middle of the competition and just having fun together :celebration: Edited May 29, 2013 by SoF Quote
sin0822 Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 this almost makes landing at 6am on Monday worth it lol Quote
Blue Storm Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 hmm landing on monday at 7pm so optimal time to check at the hotel and get to GB party in Tavern:) Quote

Crew Leeghoofd Posted May 31, 2013 Crew Posted May 31, 2013 Apparently we can't join most of you for the ASUS HQ tour. Blimey we got the invite from our PR team last wednesday afternoon and it was impossible to fit in two Belgian waffles... ASUS booked one bus of 50 persons ? Quote
dinos22 Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 landing at 10am tomorrow, anyone else landing around that time by any chance? Quote
