  1. special non K bios being used? AVX coding goes down the drain over a certain Bclock (102.8ish) Perfectly could explain why your OCed submission scores way lower than the top scores (at way lower MHz)
  2. the colder you get , the less volts it requires, that remains a basic rule Recap: you seem to surpass a sweet spot for your CPU, which means more volts are required for a smaller MHz gain... only way is either to find a better chip or drop temps drastically. good tip from Avalanche: Try a less memory extensive benchmark like eg cinebench R11.5 or R15 to determine CPU speed scaling I just fear you don't have gems CPUs there, great 9900Ks do 5.4 at way lesser voltages and stock AIO cooling.... Do NOT use big fonts anymore, way too agressive in a forum
  3. Hypers are ideal on P67 chipset boards, Z77 is not optimal (at least comparing Maximus IV versus V, 4dimms rule in efficiency clock per clock
  4. and what clocks does that 18C cpu run at ? What memory settings,, was the 18C run an efficient run or just a run? So BenchMate didn't detect the bugged run?
  5. if you have the same problem with 2 cpus and like you mentioned if you have to jump from 5.2 at 1.45 to 1.6 not even gaining 100Mz than it is game over. Or you need to cool down your CPU temps drastically with a chilled water setup, Single Stage or beefier cooing....
  6. Initial versions of BenchMate had some issues to generate a score when using a non licenced GB version, Matt had it fixed ( not sure anymore maybe in 0.8.1 ) So at least it generates a score for the 32bit suite. No idea how your BenchMate runs GB in 64bit mode without a licence code Mrgenius
  7. Competions rules can differ from the standard rules. In this case a VALID link means the score is VALID (green) at FM/ULwebsite, thus no tampering with driver detail setting or such.... Reflect submissions? you mean moderate? I'm on biss trip in Germany, not much time to do so atm
  8. dogpile any cpu goes... rules on the compo page are final
  9. just helping them out with some scores, life and the Bot get in the way ?
  10. the correct links are: https://hwbot.org/hardware/motherboard/p8h61_m_lx/ https://hwbot.org/hardware/motherboard/p8h61_m_lx2/ https://hwbot.org/hardware/motherboard/p8h61_m_le_r20/ https://hwbot.org/hardware/motherboard/b75_m/ https://hwbot.org/hardware/motherboard/b75m_plus/
  11. most os uf used Nlite, but I think it is no longer supported, gonna have alook at your software. Happy benching
  12. Yes , best to have a sleep over it, tomorrow we can all work together as it is in the best interest for everybody that the experts on the matter join forces Thus improving the things that need to be adressed. Regarding most benchmarks used by the OC ommunity: Biggest issue for our community has been the release of Win8-10 which created a whole new aspect of buggability, plus one CPU manufacturer still not addressing something his competitor managed to achieve like 3 CPU gens ago.... Good to see you responding Mr Poole (which is a clear indication that you do care bout your product and the present community) I can just vouch for Mat's skills and he has some great ideas. Downside thanks to his young enthousiasm he can get a bit carried away ( but he has the best intentions ) Also don't forget sometimes a small traduction error can lead to misunderstandings, aggrevation and elevated blood pressure.... We are not all native English native speakers here.
  13. we run and finalise the compo as is....
  14. I'll take #1 (again)
  15. K gonna play Devils advocate for a brief moment: We used Geekbench at the G.Skill Booth for the live competition. Scores were competitive and with a maxmem restriction it was a fair scalable/tweakable on memory benchmark. The fact that Geekbench is labelled as buggable is also part of our responsability as a community. To have the edge on the competition do we ALWAYS need to find a weak spot in coding,or behaviour? We are also shooting in our foot ladies and genetlemen Modern OC is sadly more and more focused on the aforementioned community behavior, not on raw clocks and pushing the hardware like when I started with OC. Do I approve mr Poole's behavior, absolutely not. I find it sad indeed that he cuts off positive criticizm to improve or making his benchmark more bulletproof. I propose for Mat's sake to let go of the Geekbenches with BenhMate and that we opt for removal of points. (but gonna make a poll for the latter and let the community decide)
