  1. Chiller, you used it on many cards but you never reported gain over stock PWM ... that's what people are interested in
  2. there are Mobile Pentium 4-M without IHS and 100MHz FSB and Mobile Pentium 4 with IHS and 133MHz FSB all those chips are physically compatible with desktop boards with the only limitation of x12 multiplier
  3. AGA, backdoor connection LN2 is free, "borrowing" a dewar is around 15 Euros per week
  4. Intel guarantees 1333 (or so), anything above is 'not guaranteed by Intel' or, in other words, partners' marketing jobbie.
  5. +1 to Knut. It'd be more interesting if the nV guy would NOT tell that
  6. From what I see in other 'areas', ASUS have seriously cut their marketing budgets recently ... sales drop or greed?
  7. OMFG, you'll save a fortune on not having to buy more VRs
  8. With the 3960X ES chip I had, using Elpida BBSE and Hypers I needed around 0.15V more to achieve same freq/timings compared to s1155. From what I observe on forums, in most cases the situation is slimiar, however, I've seen some examples (by OPB and Hazzan) when MHz/volt scaling with Elpida was similar to one of 1155. With PSC and Hynix, there are no such issues. sin0822 - yup, 2200C7s are "good" (old) PSC, you shouldn't have sold them if you needed s2011 benching mems
  9. AM2/AM3 boards can't technically do more than 500 HTT, that's 'only' 150% OC @Mean Machine: E2140 that did 505 on air, how did it go under LN2? Usually FSB-walled chips improve by ~30MHz by going from air to dice/ss and ~30MHz more to LN2.
  10. Celeron 420 is not an option, they have very crappy cores and very low FSB walls (usually ~420 on air)E1200/E2140 - yes. I binned them for a while, my best chip only does 490 on air with finding a 500-capable (air) chip being my wet dream
  11. board - ASUS P7P55D vanilla airclocks - been used at 4000/1.40V before and after I tested it
  12. I don't think anyone is rich/lucky enough to bin an 8.4GHz chip out of those
  13. you could use four GPU containers and LN2 to cool the card, sideways mount because of close distance between GPUs ... but that was more of a joke
