Strat Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 For the first stage, no negative temp allowed but for example 5° is ok right? Thanks! Quote
Splave Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Yup, it's hardly available in retail and gives too much an advantage in memory clocking. smart decision imo Quote
Crew Leeghoofd Posted August 27, 2014 Crew Posted August 27, 2014 Can we also ban any 6.1+ CPU ? Quote
Mikecdm Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Can we also ban any 6.1+ CPU ? Those are easy to come by, I got two. Quote
nvidiaforever2 Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 For the first stage, no negative temp allowed but for example 5° is ok right? Thanks! anyone? Quote
steponz Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Why are chillers allowed in stage 1... So far, thats whats leading it.. pretty obvious ... Quote
Massman Posted August 29, 2014 Author Posted August 29, 2014 For the first stage, no negative temp allowed but for example 5° is ok right? Thanks! Sorry missed this one. No sub-ambient cooling allowed. Pretty sure 5°C is sub-ambient in France these days Quote
hotrod717 Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 So chillers are now accepted for enthusiast league submissions?? Quote
HOMECINEMA-PC Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 We are using air and water . That's not extreme cooling . So am i an enthusiast ? Or we chiller users be put into our own league ?? A ruling needs to be made once and for all . Quote
Massman Posted August 31, 2014 Author Posted August 31, 2014 A chiller is sub-ambient and therefor not allowed Quote
HOMECINEMA-PC Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Okay , I was speaking in general but fair enough . I can I unplug it from the mains but can I still run it inline in my loop ? I will be using the reservoir thats inside the chiller . Would Rig pics showing this in the submission be acceptable ?? Quote
hotrod717 Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 My previous sub was straight up water, but since I continue to see chiller and "ice bath" subs still up and pointed for, I'll throw my hat in the ring with this submission. (thumbsup!) Quote
Limecoconut Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 mine will hardly run xtu anymore 4900mhzs fine but 5000mhzs now it just hardlocks.plus xtu isn't using more of my memory which is probley hurting my score Quote
JunkDogg Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 My 364 was ambient water. Haven't tried any ice bucketed water. Quote
Limecoconut Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 memory in xtu is my issue/and water dripping off my water block onto my board dosnt help either Quote
Limecoconut Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 my use's 1189 mem where everyone else 1500+ mem in xtu I don't understand it Quote
JunkDogg Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Would running maxmem prior help with that Lime? Quote
Limecoconut Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 don't think it will beleave I tried that Quote
Limecoconut Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 hoping to get more into this benchmarks but im working 50hr+ a week and not much time when I get home to do them but ill keep trying Quote
Chilli-Man Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 For Stage 1 with XTU, are sub-ambient results (using chillers or ice) going to be invalidated, or should I be grabbing myself a bag of ice on the way home tonight? Quote
Chilli-Man Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 2 degrees C is obviously not sub-zero, but is still below ambient. Seems that's what people are doing, but I'm not sure it's legal? Or if those results will be removed at the end. Quote
newlife Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Massman has already said anything sub ambient is not allowed in stage 1 which includes ice Quote
Chilli-Man Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Yeah, saw that, which is why I haven't been using any. Just wondering how that works with the results that have already been posted that are sub-ambient. Quote
