Guest acidsys Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 Last years CC was not old hardware. maybe the oldest hardware used was lga 775/771 OC eSports Quote
zeropluszero Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 there's only one stage here that a 6950X would be useful for. Quote
Luebke Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 there should be a 775 stage and a am3 stage in every big cup because it´s very cheap so everybody can join in and it´s lots of fun maybe you can add one stages or two until 1st november as little surprise? Quote
chrisdash Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 [...]but my point on older hardware being allowed still stands. Stage 1 was ANY nvidia card, stage 2 was ANY igp that would run Firestrike, stage 3 was any processor, stage 4 was anything that could run XTU, and stage 5 you could run any gpu. This. Last year I stumbled into CC 2015 as a noob and ended up contributing the Stage 2 score for Germany. This year I prepared for CC 2016 and now I find out I have ZERO hardware that has any use to CC 2016 because you largely nailed down the hardware to very specific sockets or even specific hardware families. I'd really appreciate it if you could widen the hardware selection for some of the stages a little bit. Quote
Administrators websmile Posted November 1, 2016 Administrators Posted November 1, 2016 Morning - please do not use ES(all) or unreleased current gen hardware for the country cup, we talked about this once again and there are no excepetions, I am sorry for the guys with z170 LN2 board but we do not make a exception Quote
zeropluszero Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 No worries Michal, just wanted to be certain before we go starting. Thanks. Quote

WhiteWulfe Posted November 2, 2016 Author Posted November 2, 2016 Don't know if anyone else has noticed it yet, but the oc-eports Country Cup 2016 website appears to be totally borked. If you pull it up, it shows no duration, no participants, and no submissions.... FireFox on the left, Chrome on the right, both are getting blanked out pages. Quote
Administrators websmile Posted November 2, 2016 Administrators Posted November 2, 2016 Worked yesterday, I think something broke. Already created a technical task for this Quote
ozzie Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 working here now michael from what i see but must say at around 1-30 pm here today no it wasnt OC eSports Quote
$@39@ Posted November 4, 2016 Posted November 4, 2016 One quick question about stage 3 (3dmark03) Do we need futuremark link? Do we need to have sys info enabled? If yes can we use at least sys info 4.41 because i cannot use any newer in win xp (even vanilla OS) and get the benchmark going... Thanks Quote
Administrators websmile Posted November 4, 2016 Administrators Posted November 4, 2016 3DM03 is legacy, for country cup no link required. Will not be available in the future anyway it seems, like for am3 and 01. Sys info is no need as well, but watch the verification to be solid with gpuz and cpuz and subtests shown to make plausibility check possible Quote
Administrators websmile Posted November 6, 2016 Administrators Posted November 6, 2016 Please use cpuz 1,77 or newer and GPUZ 1.11 or newer - it doesn´t make sense to bench with old verification tools, I will have to block these from the cup and you will lose time... Quote
Administrators websmile Posted November 10, 2016 Administrators Posted November 10, 2016 (edited) OK, for the 1155 stage it is indeed subfamilies, means i7,i5,i3 etc, eligible for use are sandy bridge and ivy bridge of both classes, each can only be used once to add to the result. Means you can use 3770K and 2600K, but when you add 2700K only one of these subs, 2600k or 2700k, will add to your result. Seems this was configured different from what was originally planned, might be more interesting though P.S. Checked all other stages now as well, no surprises anymore Edited November 10, 2016 by websmile Quote

Alan_Alberino Posted November 13, 2016 Posted November 13, 2016 Only one score per user on each stage right? Quote
Crew Leeghoofd Posted November 13, 2016 Crew Posted November 13, 2016 Only one score per user on each stage right? YES Quote
Administrators websmile Posted November 27, 2016 Administrators Posted November 27, 2016 Obviously stage 6 full out is misleading for some people, there is no limit on the number of VGA cores you can use = full out. I hop this clarifies the questions staff received on this Quote
chrisdash Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 Since when is Stage 4 full out? It was limited to a single GPU core before. Quote
Administrators websmile Posted November 29, 2016 Administrators Posted November 29, 2016 Obviously a typo at editing the stage, it is still one gpu only like rules page says Quote
