Since sharing is caring; uploaded both XP32B and 64Bit on gdrive.
Acpi modded by Dietmar of msfn.org
You might need to repaste the acpi.sys in system32/drivers after install

Enjoy!

I recommend installing it with a SATA CD-ROM drive on the appropriate port. Just burn the image and install it - works in any case and the installation medium is still recognised after the reboot. The image (XP64) here works without any problems - thanks again.

Use the guide here + Asmedia sata ports and you should be fine.
Both XP.iso and XP64.iso on gdrive work on Z790 so you can have one usb from which you can install both.

Confirmed ez mode to install, but an add in usb card + ide sata ports and you can install directly from USB.

- Microcode Switch
There is a new feature for switching the Microcode on the current BIOS, current is default (no need to switch for now)image.png.70afbdc75e32c6ce0ca9d80bfe9f25fc.png

Does anyone know what BIOS version this was removed? I am running 13900KS on my Z790 Apex with BIOS 0904 and can't find it in the firmware.  Edit: founding it using search function.

It's disappointing there is no option to disable Intel ME in the BIOS like my Z690 Dark motherboard offers.

Is there an XOC BIOS with the Intel ME disable options exposed?

Is there a version of TurboV Core that works with later versions of Windows 10/11. I can't get the one posted on the first page to work and it has not worked on Z490 or Z690 except on older versions of Windows 10 and Windows 7. It starts off with "Can't open AsIO.sys !! (2)" and eventually opens an empty window.

anyone here having trouble with turbovcore and bsod of asio.sys?

any setting I do, will result in the above mentioned bsod

win11 + hyper-v enabled

I can't get TurboV Core to work on any version of Windows newer than LTSC 2019 (W10 Pro 1809). I don't get any BSOD on W10 21H2+ or W11, it just doesn't work (see my post above yours).

How can we stop the apex z790 from downclocking the CPU to 4800 Mhz under AVX512 runs.  I am using 0022 bios so got the AVX512 active already . To note i am using the 12600K CPU. is there another bios or just a setting. So far i have not been able to with the  AVX offset settings even if i set them to 0.if i set the cores and 0 offset in XTU it will give me higher speed  than 4800 but down clocks 100Mhz always from set core speed also during AVX512 run.

Just gave up on my tachyon z690 which never seem to work on this either except there i can atleast run 5400 in the 5500 limit competition.... sigh....

hello!!

where to find the bios 0022 ?

did you solve the problem of downclocking ?

thanks

damn that's unfortunate, it's confusing why turboVcore works on W11 22H2 but for z490/10900k

but doesn't work on this Z790 platform, I even disabled core isolation/memory integrity

also I really need guidance @Papusan@Mr. Fox@Splave

need guidance on how to stabilize 7200++

7000 is stable

7200 will boot, but will have errors with TM5 (extreme, absolut, heavy, pcbdestroyer) when 1-3 hours in the test, initially would be ok

7400 will boot, but will have errors with TM5 (extreme, absolut, heavy, pcbdestroyer) almost immediately when test is started

I tweaked some votlages to boot 7000 and higher successfully, but not able to get it fully stable

anyone got ideas?

0022 + ucode 09 needed for bclk oc (that bios was ucode 15)

Also here is 1401 bios I used for bclk oc https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1113803878014652469/1153675416201068574/1401bclk.cap

If either doesn't work, let me know

Do You need to bin CPU`s for CB? I tried two 12300/12100 and both didn`t work below -50C. They didn`t freeze at idle but in benchmark.
