PROPOSAL

scorenew.png

I would rather change and have light grey boxes and white background if we need change GUI and format. And the result boxes need to be smaller. They are too dominant and you lose fast info. The different points/ranking is spread all over now. We need them closer together. And I prefer the old way have the verfication link right in the results with the screenshoot. Not on top as now.

The old is so much better. The big white result boxes in the new GUI is a problem.

I believe the score submission form would be more readable if it had some sort of delimiter or box for each field group.

Like clearly separating CPU, GPU, Memory.

I noticed none of my old submissions appear looking at my submissions histroy.

I cannot tell you have much I HATE the new UI. Everything so SO bloated, huge and ugly. Feels like I am using a damned tablet or smartphone. Really sucks how it looks now.

Amen to that, brother!

A couple of tiny bugs

1) In the achievements, the green bars don't scale

Screenshot_20241109_203128.png.b1e68d7683729a49de235fd2509f5919.png

2) In the hardware overview, caching might be a tad too aggressive. I've uploaded Geekbench3/4/5/6 scores and they don't show up (yet I presume). E.g: https://hwbot.org/hardware/processor/core_i7_2600k/

Yet I have e.g. this submission:  https://hwbot.org/submission/5685603_

Screenshot_20241109_203253.thumb.png.36cb6e59aef6ecdf48b3dbbaf4f8bc4b.png

3) Right after submitting a score (or editing), the ranking and points link don't link to the correct page

Screenshot_20241109_203655.thumb.png.db811436ddbebed61e1c0df654c7ad6e.png

Btw, I love the fact that all fields are now visible when submitting an hwbot file. Saves the trouble of having to edit the submission (or do the hacky thing which you guys fixed not so long ago).

Commenting is fixed

It looks like it isn't:
Score by MaddMutt
Thread is called Mr.Scott's 95942 marks 3DMark03 run with GeForce GTX 660 (GK106, 192 Bit)

Some more things:
1. Clicking the Country Cup 2024 link leads to a server error. It's the same if you click on "Back to Roadmap" in a sub-competition.
2. On moderated scores it isn't shown who moderated or commented on it, just "moderator marked this score...".
3. Something odd is going on in my Hardware Library. I tried a few links to my scores and most work fine, but for the Gigabyte GA-MA790FXT-UD5P I get a server error (link).
4. In my profile, my scores are not loading if the benchmark is the first in the list for a certain benchmark type: profile -> Submissions -> Motherboard -> Reference Frequency doesn't show any scores and since it's the only benchmark in the list, you can't force a refresh by choosing a different benchmark like for the other benchmark types.
5. I still think that Top 30/15 Best Global Benchmark Results All Time/2024 should only show submissions with >0 global points instead of every globally ranked submission until the number of scores is met.
6. I'm missing the buttons to recalculate scores/submissions.
7. I'd also like to propose a change on how the points are organized on the profile page, please see my screenshot. Season points below season ranking, overall points and team power points below the other rankings.
8. Also: copyright date on the front page, it isn't even funny any more.

When clicking on the CPU frequency "hardware record" I can see the top sub using the motherboard/chipset, when clicking on CPU frequency to see the list of subs I get fewer result (maybe cause it's not the best of the user ?)

Also suggestion for the search result, list it in this order : Chipset, CPU, GPU, Motherboard, users, everything else...  There is not that many chipset that ever exist so it would be a bit easier to search for them, specially since it's now possible to list all the subs using a specific chipset.

Regarding listing the subs using the same chipset, in Processors benchmark, indicate the Hardware as being x or x CPU, same for GPU and memory, it's a bit "missleading" to read this, user can think this chipset is running at 7+GHz when it's the CPU actually running at 7+GHz : https://hwbot.org/benchmark/cpu_frequency/rankings?motherboardChipsetId=1728&hardwareType=mbChipset

Also we can't select if we want to list subs made using a single, dual or quad core CPU in this case.

How do you put comments up ?

Tried this which seemed to make sense but it won't post .

Untitled.jpg

I tried to comment on a PyPrime DDR3 result by Emil.Su like 5 times, nothing happened. I think it's just broken.

Not sure about others, but I cant seem to comment on submissions.

Hit save and just does nothing.

Hey Daryl

A few have mentioned it .

See comments a few before yours 🙂

How do you change your profile picture so you don't look like one the Matrix Agents with a question mark on his head ?

I have tried doing it through profile - upload picture which I use here .

The team banner change isn’t working, after pasting the link and saving, the old banner still appears. It would also be helpful to include information about the banner dimensions

When looking at a submission you made yourself, there used to be a list of all your previous scores made with the same hardware under there. I consider that a very useful feature because without it, it's hard to look back at old scores

if looking at the global ranking on the right edge of the screen, intuitively I'd expect the lower link - listing the result - to lead to the result. It leads to DDR5 rankings though. Given that the actual result is linked on the right edge of the same table anyways, wouldn't it make more sense to have the link only say "DDR5 SDRAM"?

Mr. Scott, the whole website is mobile now, must mean reporting doesn't work full stop. Lets keep the report button disabled until Feb, well after CC concludes to give Alby a break.

This, plus I keep clicking on people's names rather than scores now because the clickable score links are so far away to the right and the colours are all the same; the old layout had User/Benchmark in one colour, and result link in another, which might help differentiate.
