Posted September 19, 201212 yr How do you guys store your GPUs once you've acquired a bit of a collection? I used to use a drawer but I've got a few too many for that now and was hoping to get some ideas.
September 19, 201212 yr Well, these are old GPUs (2000 - 2002).... so they are almost worthless. Plus I can rebench them anytime, try new tweaks, voltmods use them for competitions, etc. And I have two more crates like this + few dozen newer VGAs (2004 +)
September 19, 201212 yr Got a 90x45x20cm bedroller full of VGAs, enough for my old VGAs.... Considering ditching a few of them in fact...
September 19, 201212 yr why not just sell the cards you don't need? Trick question! Why sell a good VGA that isn't dead?
September 19, 201212 yr To be able to buy another, sell, then buy another etc ... hoping to find a REALLY good card that is actually worth keeping.
September 19, 201212 yr Crew i'm also an idiot to keep everything. running already out of space here.

September 20, 201212 yr i'm also an idiot to keep everything. running already out of space here. Me too. Wife is pissed that I took over her closet to store more stuff.
September 20, 201212 yr I also want to know how to store them when they have the coolers on? and what the best way to store CPU's as well? Im starting to a collection and wonder the same thing..how do i store all this gear.. I did see what looked like a really interesting storage solution on OCN by one of the reviewers but cant find that picture..

I use to hang them on my wall in the garage, 2 nails that hold the card on the case bracket. but then sold them :I Or on the ground in the corner of the garage
September 20, 201212 yr Nice collections guys! I have decided if it is not a Lightning/Matrix then they are getting sold, trying to keep the stock elite:D
September 20, 201212 yr Since i moved to my apartment, i have a ton of motherboards, so i found that if you put them in anti-static bags, and then flip one on the other, then they fall into each other and i put them into a dresser drawer. I have less clothes than comp[uter hardware. For CPUs I use a locked briefcase which I use a bike lock and secure to my desk. FOr GPUs and memory i just a utility drawer. But my apartment has good security, a few security guards, i need a card to get into my apartment and a key to get into my room. IMO just put all the ones you wont you in a box and put them in a closet or something. For boxes for the motherboard, I unfold the boxes, and they all become flat. Except you will soon find enough boxes will weigh a crap load. I only own 6 GPUs lol.
September 20, 201212 yr Great thread, cause of it reminds me that i should tidy up my whole hardware. Maybe i will Post some pics at the weekend. Currently nearly my whole hardware-stuff is stored in several cartons and boxes or lays on the couch in the workroom.
