Hey man, just see what your chips can do on Pi 32M 5ghz 4 cores HT enabled, don't bother about what uncore can do.Just see if they can do 32M 5ghz and @ what volts, water or air

If your chip can do 5Ghz 32M @ 1.2-- volts you should have a nice scaling chip

PS always keep a eye on temps and volts being used on air too,no need to kill chip

Hey Bullant, i finally got around to installing the 4770k this morning. I've only put 1.148 through it so far and boots into XP/WIN 7 @4.3 and runs 32M nicely. Temps are a bit highish as i'm only using the stock HSF and have a funny feeling it's not seated the best.

Where as my first 4770k i had to go to and past 1.3v just to boot @4.3 let alone running anything. Going to reseat HSF late today and see if temps improve or hopefully WC gear turns up. So much more potential then my other one.

I think it isn't a good CPU, because best of my crappy CPUs could run Pi 32M at 4500MHz with 1.15V and it was too much to reach a good clock. For 5000 I had to set 1.39V. I think Splave's great CPUs can run @4.5 with 1.0V

Awesome ssmercer. Great batch u got! Try 5ghx when u get nicer cooling :)

Thanks Vivi. I worked out why temps where a bit high even with the stock HSF. One of the CPU fan cables was caught in the fan so the fan wasn't running:o. Now running some 7-10c cooler lol. STill want to wait for my H2O gear and have some real fun.

Hi MaJ0r, yeah it's up with the best that's for sure but it's heads and shoulders better than my first chip that died. Also in comparison to others i am extremely new to this and no doubt there is other settings that will help me also.

nope it was pre binned by a reliable source. I couldn't even do 4800 on neither of my 3 boards... 4500Mhz 1.2Vcore was okayish. No idea what is wrong... either this CPU degraded heavily or it was a dud from the start...

Who's to blame, that's the million dollar question... I am not pointing any fingers... but honestly something is wrong with Haswell sigh...

I remember this. For what you've payed for it, you should demand an answer from the seller.

4770K batch no. L311B514

4C/8T

4.5GHz CINEBENCH @ 1.22v

4.6GHz CINEBENCH @ 1.28v

4.7GHz CINEBENCH @ 1.375v

5GHz @ 1.45v - POST but fails to load Windows

2C/2T

4.8GHz SPi 1M but no more at 1.4v

I will continue testing it when I have a moment.

Starting to hit the upper limits of my D14 but I will take it outside when I get a moment. :)

4770K Batch 317B802

Cinebench R11.5 5,9 GHz 1,6 Vcore

2/2 Cores 3DMark 05 6 GHz 1,537 Vcore

Guys, what's the deal with these cpus doing all cores stable high clock, low volt but not even making 1M at 6,3? My 4670k is very similar to Bullshooters cpu, I actually had it stable in XTU over 5,7 GHz but max 1M is 6,22 GHz @ 1.66 Vcore :/ Is it just low leakage, non scaling?
