  1. Hi, The TUSL2-C and CUSL2 ASUS boards seem to be the most popular - what are the pros and cons of each and are there any others to consider? I'm very interested in this platform but the hardware is difficult to find and expensive (for what it is) so I don't want to pick something that won't work.
  2. Since the forum migration broke the OP and Elvis has left the building, here is my take: Hardware Points I have no idea how to query this CPU Frequency nacho_arroyo / 7195.53 mhz SHIMIZU / 7110.6 mhz Hicookie / 7092.83 mhz SuperPI 1M Hicookie / 5sec 781ms JtChen2002 / 5sec 859ms Hiwa / 5sec 866ms SuperPI 32M Hicookie / 5min 13sec 719ms AndreYang / 5min 16sec 516ms Hiwa / 5min 18sec 258ms PiFast Hicookie / 12sec 10ms Hiwa / 12sec 70ms JtChen2002 / 12sec 80ms Cinebench R11.5 pilu / 26.98 points / Xeon E5649 loul / 25.3 points / Xeon X5690 Ace123 / 25.2 points / Xeon X5670 3DMark01 Jor3llBR/Elano / 115979 marks / GeForce GTX 280 tosunermc / 115693 marks / GeForce GTX 460 (256bit) Dentlord / 113631 marks / GeForce GTX 280 3DMark03 NickShih / 233433 marks / GeForce GTX 580 Planet / 231239 marks / GeForce GTX 580 SF3D / 229421 marks / GeForce GTX 580 Reference Clock Nanok / 290.01 MHz / X58A-OC ground1556 / 287.22 MHz / X58A-OC zzolio / 283.5 MHz / Rampage II Extreme Memory Clock Aristidis / 1640.4 MHz TeamAU / 1613.3 MHz SF3D / 1575.1 MHz
  3. I really wanna rebench multiple submissions for no reason right around Christmas and New Year's, thanks guys. The problem with this place is that everyone complains about petty things all the time so when actual screwups happen it's like the boy who cried wolf.
  4. Amazing! Only 5 overclockers have achieved Intel 8GHz in the past 5 years and you are one of them
  5. In the spirit of the multiple ongoing polls, I'd like to ask whether there should be a mandatory O.S. drop-down in every submission. Considering the strict O.S. requirements we have these days I think it would help with moderation as it's much quicker to for example look at a Fire Strike submission on Haswell without a validation link done on Win 10 and contact the submitter straight away since this combination is never allowed. Loading the screenshot every time is much slower and sometimes they are even hard to read. This new field will also stop some people from submitting as they would potentially realise their mistake at submission time instead of afterwards (or not at all). Last (but not least!), this additional field would allow mass sweeps of the database to find and moderate and/or delete old invalid submissions which were not caught at the time. This is not possible currently as I don't believe optical character recognition is up to the task
  6. '01 and '03 are similar yet they're getting significantly more votes. I also didn't intend to imply that the wrapper in and of itself makes the bench 100% secure, I just wanted to point out that the wrapper exists at least so we're one step further there than with '01 and '03. @richba5tard any particular reason Heaven and Superposition are not listed at all? I feel the vendor support there is quite a bit better than for Catzilla (which is listed)
  7. Why no love for Aquamark? It's quick, tweakable and one of the few benchmarks not made by Futuremark / UL. It's also already got a wrapper so is more future-proof than most 3D benches.
  8. Keep all current benches and add GPUpi v3.3 (or 4.0 when it comes out) and Time Spy Extreme. Remove some or all of Catzilla because the vendor support is flaky to nonexistent.
  9. Catzilla is the XTU of 3D so I'm happy that's last. It may be worth having a separate FS vote eventually since the different presets are so close and having globals for them all would be a bit much imo.
  10. Sick score with RAM on LN2, not sure why no one commented at time of posting. Maybe time to rerun the chip on another board? ;)
  11. Yup fair enough ? I didn't know that at the time of posting - have edited out of the list now.
  12. Now that it's been over 48hrs since the background change it's worrying me that some buggy "first half" submissions are still up in the air: There are two REX BCLK subs for France (sub 1, sub 2), both using 775 chips. This is on obvious bug, as every team would be running 6 REXes (or maybe just 6 different chips in the same REX ) if that was allowed. My 406 MHz AM3 BCLK sub not counting because of the CPU socket vs. motherboard socket mixup in in that stage. It's a tough one because the rules actually still state the CPU socket counts but @Leeghoofd made the call earlier in this thread that it should be motherboard socket - can we have clarity once and for all on this matter? The LGA1151v1 / LGA1151v2 split not getting implemented yet has led to various scores (mostly in the BCLK and CB15 stages) not getting counted, e.g. AG-TAS's 484 MHz sub conflicting with Chili-Man's 525 MHz. I'm sure other teams are affected by these bugs too, I'm just using mostly Australia ones as examples as it is easier to keep track of them and it's hard to search for this stuff if you don't know what was benched. There are less than two weeks until xmas so the amount of time left to rebench is limited. I know the mod team is busy so I don't expect a fix soon but some kind of definitive answer on whether (and how) these issues will be fixed would be much appreciated ?
  13. Let's not get rid of a great benchmark because a subset of Intel CPUs allegedly die running it. Now could we get back on topic and nix some crappy benches?
