I think I had one of my scores reported and it was checked by a mod. Now, that score gets points, despite me having them disabled.
I know, on an importance scale of 1-10 that this is -3, but, well, it's technically a bug
Am I right in thinking that the Rookie Rumbles (and Novice Nimbles) are optional? I see that Novice Nimble needs a team... one thing at a time
I have never paid attention to any of this before, now I have to explain it to someone!
Found the Rankings-> Overclockers tab. Yes, that definitely helps thankyou
So, there's a progression that must be followed? (if everything was working)
My mate doesn't (currently) want to get really drawn in, just submit a few scores for fun when he feels like it. I sold him a couple of my spare cards, he wants to know what the fuss is about
I've been here for so long and there's so much I can't explain
Would it be possible to add a big "How HWBot works" link to the top of the front page... linking to a brief overview of how leagues and the basics work? I think it would be helpful for newcomers who probably feel a bit lost when they first see the site. A mate has just asked me what would happen if he joined up.... and I couldn't tell him Are new folk automatically put into Rookie?
Instructions unclear. Dick caught in ceiling fan.
Almost spat out my coffee at reading your post
In reply to another post.... MHz must be reported accurately, right? Else CPU-Z and GPU-Z are UTTERLY POINTLESS
Is there a way to make results submitted before date X unreportable as standard?
ie... when a "big" change is made to the rules, everything already submitted cannot be reported so easily? I know that with a suggestion so simple, there are a lot of holes, but something along these lines could be really useful.
I don't know when the GPU-Z rule was first enforced, so I don't know what is and isn't on the wrong side of being reported etc.
Oh... the mxxxxx and cxxxxx BIOS are for core or mem MHz.
Flash under cold if you're going to
I've not used any of them. Good for testing/binning I guess.
Question to those going....
Will anyone be arriving on Thursday evening? I A/ might be going and B/ might have missed out on cheap train tickets, so am looking at alternatives. Currently looks like i'll be arriving after 5pm. If Thursday, then I need someone to drink with. If Friday, I need someone to do nightshift with
eVGA offered 4-way GTX285 by having a BIOS that identified the card as a GTX295 so that the nVidia drivers would be tricked into offering 4-way SLI. The result is accurate.
As far as I know, the only way to run 4-way '285 is to find 4 of these eVGA cards..... ALTHOUGH.... maybe nVidia drivers have since been updated to allow any GTX285 to be used in 4-way.
