Oh no bro, thats not what I meant I meant that it would be a bit bad to quickly test a review part and think "this sucks, so no review" That could annoy a company.... it's much better to go through and actually post up a set of performance figures and analysis, even if the part sucks. If the company doesn't like the review, thats their problem but at least the deal was completed- hardware supplied -> review posted I've avoided using the words "preview" and "review" because TBH.... lab501 covered more in a "preview" than some "reviews" i've seen. If there's a set of meaningful performance figures with analysis and comparison to other parts, i'd call it a review... but thats just a word y'know

Maybe reviewers didn't wanna burn bridges with AMD Maybe BD is one of those times when reviewers ask "why do I bother?"

It touched 1350MHz or so for 3D03

Fixed Maybe no LOD is the way to go.... last time I benched GTX580 & 3D06, there wasn't LOD for the cards and I was happy with my FPS then hmmmmmmmm Thanks for the comments guys

Test on air/water will show me 100% CPU bottleneck I think... behaviour at 6.1GHz is not the same as 4.4GHz Of course, it is my fault for not doing more prep work, I think I put too much thought in.... my first thought for 06 is usually high LOD.... but i'm used to less powerful GPUs

Was benching 06 last night (single GTX580) and i'm not happy with my Deep Freeze FPS. I was running low LOD because I thought my SM2 scores would benefit (being CPU bound,) but it looks like it did so at the expense of DF. Is high LOD the way to go? Would it boost DF enough that it overpowers the loss in SM2? Getting this score took FOREVER and quite a bit of LN2, so spending hours (and litres) in pretesting doesn't appeal right now Cheers

GTX285 with only a 4-phase PWM??? GTX260-192 has 3-phase Are you sure the card you have is not 6+1? The BEST card (tested & confirmed awesome with stock PWM) + eVGA PWM board might make for some nice hardware rankings, but IMHO no amount of good soldering + this PWM board will make an average card better than a great hand-binned card.

I'm interested in seeing what kind of boost these PWM cards give to GPUs. Stock PWM Vs this. At the moment, I consider them "psychological warfare"
