Was it just ucode update? I tried to do it myself with no success - either wrong version of MMTool or ucodes.

Checked with Ground, it was bios from ObscureParadox not working correctly in pifast for older cpu.

Not sure if it was you or Ground to share L3014-aware bios with me but it was insta-fail in pifast (and only pifast) with stock cpu (cel 430?), those custom bioses are dangerous sometimes - I reinstalled system twice, downloaded pifast 20 timed and thought board is getting semi-dead)

You had to use pre-45nm bios to cut 150-200ms

Current sensing IC shouldn't be able to fry shunt. Most likely there is short circuit with mosfets. I would fix shunt, connect lab PSU to 12V rail, set it 1v 10A and check what is hot in VRM zone.

Tested Ample2 this weekend. The greatest thing about it is that it is really small pcb and fits everywhere - taking my below average soldering skills, it allows shorter connections etc. Was testing it with EP45T-UD3R (feeding VTT mosfet that originally feeds from dram 1.8v), no issues so far - no noticable vdroop (0.01v) @2.3v, not extremely hot. Will be great thing for legacy vga memory mods.

FB resistor that will default dram voltage to 3.6v, then i can add another 0.3v from bios (2.6-2.9v range available from bios). DRAM vrm is fed from 5v so simple voltmod is enough. Here is 275 1:1 2-2-2-7 with this board, bios from digitalbath and 3.8v vdimm.

Well, I guess Antinomy is thinking of DDR2 775 board with 478>775 adaptor. Using 478 cpu that will break 350-380MHz will bring you 700-760mhz memory validation with 1:2 and cpu used is still mPGA478B. Unlocked prescott s478 + ptca-01 + p35/p45 is a loophole I was also thinking of.

I wasn't very efficient with am3 too. I have noticed that screen resolution comes into play somehow, the higher it is the better was result in my tests. Though results are inconsistent for me. Will try to find the right settings for wprime and am3 in winter. Also try setting non-utf8 programs language settings to Japanese in Regional settings.
