  1. Doesn't good waza completely eliminate the necessity of ramdrive? Or there is still some positive effect? I stopped using qsoftware ramdisk years ago thinking it is not necessary.
  2. Yes, 400 2:3. The board was not very stable from the very beginning with high fsb and I desoldered all futitsu caps and replaced them with tantal smds in ram and nb (nothing for cpu). Also added solid electrolyte cap for vtt. This gave me a bit more stable board but it still sucks.
  3. I remember I used this trigger in rev5 to recover some missing points and it made me lost another 1000 hardware points. Assuming there is a bug with database I would be very careful with total recalc of my results nowadays and proceed recalculating them one by one.
  4. Just a quick note - Biostar boards had 14 entries if I'm not mistaken:)
  5. Does anyone check what are those registers that preface each ROMSIP table in romsip files? They seem to be a bit different between different versions and may have some potential in it (i.e. define the hardwall in fsb - as individual romsips seem to affect performance/stability at given multi but if we run into the same wall with any multi then it should be something else and I expect it can be one of the reasons for that).
  6. One score per user or I can submit multiple results for i.e. s775 stage with different cpus?
  7. Good frequencies, what were the voltages for nb/dram? Any skew adjustments?
  8. Would be quite a challenge to find PCI card that runs 06:) GF6200?
  9. I had only one sempron and two asus boards, crosshair v and m2n32. Sempron goes high bclk easily with ddr2 but I had issues with board itself (had no separate voltage for vnb etc) and wasn't lucky with 14.5 multi (14 worked much better - seems motherboard was not setting timings properly with any .5 multi). With ddr3 it is essential to get a good board (asus seems not to be favourite here), good mem and flash proper spd into ram (i.e. I had no boot issue with gtx2 spd even at stock, the best for my setup was custom made spd based on gskill 1866c9 bbse). Sempron has reasonably high fsb wall imho (>420 bclk @air with ddr2 in my tests) and overclocking is limited by something related to ram/nb. I haven't yet paid enough time to it. For ddr3 it may also be a good idea to distinguish boot frequency and stable frequency in windows - you can get 10% in frequency by overclocking further in windows.
  10. Thanks Albrecht. And many thanks to other moderators (active and retired).
  11. There could be another problem with your approach - bios will try to set it two times (first time - as it is being set, second time - with your new setting) and if these bits are "set once" it will freeze the system upon post/reboot once bios attempts to re-set it. So, basically, you need to find out how stock bios is setting these bits and probably skip this "automatic" procedure and then set it manually.
  12. Well, nf4 itself shouldn't affect dimm slots as imc is built in cpu. I would probably start with cpu socket first (either new replacement or reballing).
  13. BTW, found a message to @Antinomy as we were discussing my experience with A7V880:
  14. Here is PT880 (shouldn't be way different to KT880): http://bitsavers.org/components/viaTechnologies/VIA_PT880_Pro_North_Bridge_Data_Sheet_Sep2005.pdf
