Try different windows xp build. I have same issue with 99 when using certain xp image
-
Yep, these look like typical winbond chips - not only circles in plastic but also metal "ears" on the side of the chips. I guess all nf2 boards become unstable quickly beyond certain fsb frequency - it's not that you have a range of 10-15Mhz for fsb between light load and heavy load. Hope to enter this stage this weekend too.

Benchmate 10.6.8 is out!! NO MORE SUPPORT FOR GEEKBENCHES!!
TerraRaptor replied to Leeghoofd's topic in HWBOT News
I guess they don't realize that if GB5 won't be secured by Benchmate it is likely miss global points in future. No global points - no need to buy it for most of us. -
Spi 8m should be good enough to bin for core frequency.

Yes, cold helps with fsb wall. I would expect an average of +5% FSB when moving from air to SS. High vpll may also help but it is dangerous (some of my binned CPUs degraded very quickly - i.e. they were binned for 450 air, then I was able to hit 480 with ss + vpll >2.5v but after 1.5-2 hours of benchmarking they won't be stable higher than 460-465 mhz - see my Cel430 as an example). Oh the other side, I was using vpll of 2.7-3.0v with my C2D E6400 for days with no notable negative effect to it. I want actually study how high vpll affects the life span of C2D as I have many useless rejects, to be on a safe side with this voltage in future.

Using phase change to pre cool ln2 pot.

Won't work properly - water condensates quickly and one can't wipe it completely. -
Using phase change to pre cool ln2 pot.
TerraRaptor replied to Mythical tech 's topic in Extreme overclocking
Not that smart. Once you proceed with ln2 you will then cool evaporator of ss together with the ln2 pot or leave uninsulated piece of the pot if you unattach the evap off the pot after pre-cooling. Saving say 1L of ln2 is not worth all the issues you may have. -

Heavy score weighted server 20 core processors
TerraRaptor replied to a topic in Submission & member moderation
Man, to get skill in something you will need to pay with your money and time. Why making drama when someone uses hardware that will get him nice boints? Look from the other side - his investments of thousands $$ will become nothing in next 2-3 years. Just find you own way to get the same points or move to a different league. -

That is living classics - blaming points algorithm for not being good. Honestly, money is also a measure of attitude to this hobby and should be rewarded. -

I mean running it this way. Yes, that is old tweak and it helps in certain environment. Although I never benched Spi in Win10 and have no idea if it helps here. Nice nickname Sir :-D -

Benchmate won't detect superpi running if superpi window is minimised. -
It blinks even with OS selection so not indexing for sure. Probably disabling unused sata ports would fix an issue with blinking - as sata supports hot-plug, that led may just be a standby indicator for unused ports. I had usb hdd with the the cable like this one connection with 500mA was not enough to spin up the hdd.

Hi ozzie. I have the same issue with my hdd led sometimes - it does not affect anything in terms of performance and may probably be caused by voltiminder settings in bios. Never checked it though. Regarding external hdd - does it have two usb plugs (to get power from two usb connectors)? Single connection may be not sufficient sometimes - had same issues years ago and replacement of usb cable fixed it for me.

How did you kill your adata kit?

Hope this will be done without major delay - been discussed for years already.
