October 3, 201410 yr What do you mean ,it's a very very bad cpu... . Edited October 3, 201410 yr by suzuki
October 3, 201410 yr as always suzuki comes out with the bunny from the cylinder my 4790k is unbalanced,on idle temps i have 26/21/25/22 with delid,i installed twice the cpu with clu and same, and when benching at 1.4v++ i get 10/15 °C of difference.so let's say that my cpu is on edge to be a failure or jesus one,cuz i think if other two hot cores were like cold ones it could use less voltage for overclocking.
October 4, 201410 yr Here's the same 3418C011 Pentium as before, with a bit more time into it... And my first bit of real frost in a long time!! Edited October 4, 201410 yr by TheMadDutchDude
October 4, 201410 yr Another L425B855 4790k 5.2ghz 4c8t 1.45v Hwbot prime,Win7 also it's 5ghz 1.245v SP32 in XP, hope this one scales _____________________ and this one L421B995: http://img.hwbot.org/u39224/image_id_1256656.jpeg also Hwbot prime 6200mhz 1.6v Edited October 4, 201410 yr by Farjam
October 9, 201410 yr The same 3418C013 chip tested with wPrime 1024M and passed... Oh, for what it's worth... EPIC temperature scaling. Air: 4.8GHz @1.45 vCore and 1.9 VCCIN Phase: 5.3GHz @1.45 vCore and 1.95 VCCIN 5.4GHz @1.54 vCore and 2.2 VCCIN No boot into Win 7 at 5.4GHz but will boot at 5.2GHz with the same voltages as 5.4GHz requires to pass wPrime. I hate Win 7!!
October 10, 201410 yr @suzuki : Don't tell to superV where your cpu come from pls 5 new, all same batch, L427b.... on Mpower. #4974 : VID 1.1 4.8 1.3G wprime OK #1285 : VID 1.07 4.8 1.3v wprime OK #0076 : VID 1v 5G 1.3v wprime OK 5G 1.3v wp1024 OK 5.1G 1.3v 50% wp32M 5G 1.22v wprim32M #0132 : VID 5G @1.3 wp32m 50% 4.9G @1.25 wp32m #1237 : VID 1.064 4.9g @1.3v wp32

October 12, 201410 yr vccin at 1,65v seems to work best same here, if i try anything higher than 1.7v for 4500mhz to 5200mhz it sucks at booting windows
October 12, 201410 yr yeah it's weird, i have benched atleast 10x 4790k and everytime if i used higher than 1.7v for vccin they failed over 4700mhz for max, i found it out when i was benching my 3rd chip and i was shocked for example my 5ghz chips can do 5ghz only with lower than 1.7v vccin, if i set it on 1.85 it will fail to booting windows http://www.8pic.ir/images/3x99azmw0ad5k7a95usd.jpg and http://www.8pic.ir/images/xvxw53jv77l106pg338v.jpg if i used 1.8v or 1.8v for them they were not 5ghz chips and were just normal 4.8 max chips
October 12, 201410 yr Weird,my 4790K love 1.95-2V range yeah it's weird, i have benched atleast 10x 4790k and everytime if i used higher than 1.7v for vccin they failed over 4700mhz for max, i found it out when i was benching my 3rd chip and i was shocked for example my 5ghz chips can do 5ghz only with lower than 1.7v vccin, if i set it on 1.85 it will fail to booting windows http://www.8pic.ir/images/3x99azmw0ad5k7a95usd.jpg and http://www.8pic.ir/images/xvxw53jv77l106pg338v.jpg if i used 1.8v or 1.8v for them they were not 5ghz chips and were just normal 4.8 max chips yep very weird, mine same over 2v for win7.maybe is windowsXP. what motherboards are you using ? My 5.1Ghz @1.3 wprime chip is maybe 5.4 with 1.65 seriously : have you try an other MB ? no issue with vin on Mpower, MpowerMax, M7G. Test many cpu... and find 8chip 5g+ @1.3 for wprime so Vin is definitely ok on these MB. Maybe 1.65 is better, but no issue with 1.8
October 13, 201410 yr lol yes now i'm trying it on m7g and still the same with a little difference... ** my best chip 4790k L421B995 on m7g can do 5ghz 1.2 vcore 1.65 vccin sp32m but if i wanted to set vccin on 1.85 i have to use 1.26v vcore for 5ghz (so 1.65v still better but it can boot with 1.85 vccin+higher vcore) **on asrock z87 oc formula 5ghz 1.2vcore vccin 1.65 sp32m buf if i use vccin higher than 1.7v no win boot no matter how high vcore i use (so 1.65v still better but it can not boot with higher than 1.72v vccin) *under ln2 is the same too(asrock z87 oc formula), for 6200 wprime i used 1.6vcore 2.1v vccin and with vccin higher than 2.2v no boot I tested these batch with the same condition : L421B995(4x chips) L425B855 (2 chips) L420B687 (2 chips) + one 4690k L422B787 >>>>>and all of them were crap subzero , maybe this sign I saw on my chips are for being crap under ln2 because they wont scale with high vcccin<<<<< +another example : i wanted to bench my 1.2v 5ghz XP chip, in win7 5200 hwbot prime, i increased vccin from 1.65 to 1.85v and increased vcore to 1.45v but it fails passing hwbot prime, next time i did not touch vccin and let it on 1.65 and vcore 1.45 and it can pass hwbot prime 5200mhz http://www.8pic.ir/images/xvxw53jv77l106pg338v.jpg Edited October 13, 201410 yr by Farjam
October 13, 201410 yr Administrators IMC and cache test on 4690K L422B756, cpu is OK, on VCCIN I have no idea what I am doing but it works - 1,65-1,85v depending on settings^^ Will check later this week with boxed cooler on Impact Edited October 13, 201410 yr by websmile
October 13, 201410 yr When you guys are binning these Pentiums on air? are you using the lower vccin, or 1.8-2v?
October 13, 201410 yr I binned 14 chips with 1.85v vccin 1.3v vcore. I tested max boot and max HWBot prime on Windows 7. I've never tried that low vccin stuff, my gem chip seems to like 2.7v. I may try again tomorrow and test low vccin.
October 13, 201410 yr Yeh, I tried 3 chips to get a 5G hwbot prime, none would do it on water, all did 4.8-4.9. used between 1.35-1.5vcore and 1.8-2.0 vccin. all no go for 5G probably just the chips, but if everyone's doing the same, thats probably fine.
October 13, 201410 yr Administrators Low vccin had no positive effect on G3258 for me, I had around 12 chips of which I tested 7 or 8 for vcore seriously and all ran better at 1,9v+ vccin than at lower values
October 14, 201410 yr The Pentium chips are still Haswell based, not DC, which is why they need more VCCIN.
