Massman Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 Only to cover MOA (10th - 13th of September), will be my farewell to extreme-overclocking, for now Finnish overclocker Sampsa announced his farewell to overclocking on XS. This Xtreme Overclocking Legend (being one of the first to embrace LN2 overclocking) was loved by the community and will be missed. Some random pictures of him. He was also loved by the Finnish overclocking community at Muropaketti: Quote
Massman Posted September 28, 2010 Author Posted September 28, 2010 A (tad) more serious: a video. Sampsa was also one of the first to introduce satefy precautions in Extreme Overclocking Quote
Massman Posted September 28, 2010 Author Posted September 28, 2010 He was also the first overclocker in space: Quote
_mat_ Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 Any reasons known? Just had the chance to meet him once in Vienna last year. Very humble person. You will be missed! Quote

Crew Antinomy Posted September 28, 2010 Crew Posted September 28, 2010 Dammit, there's too much people R.I.P. recently around that I've thought of the bad from the title. Luckily, it's not that bad I think we'll all miss Sampsa, there were thing to learn from him on XS. Hope he'll find himself new things he likes to do. Massman, nice pics Quote

Massman Posted September 29, 2010 Author Posted September 29, 2010 Oh, right ... that's why people got so mad. He killed 1% of all TWKR Quote

elmor Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 Our liquid helium benching session in Finland last summer was a great moment! Also the Intel events in Sweden will be remembered. I'm sure we'll see more of him even if he's not doing any overclocking himself any more Quote
Crew Leeghoofd Posted September 29, 2010 Crew Posted September 29, 2010 Sampsa will beat Tiger woods soon ( if not already done ) Quote
Dreadlockyx Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 He seems very young with dry-ice. He's very talentend I imagine. Sad to hear that... Quote
