Vid on Haswell-E imho is useless, same 4.5 GHz @ voltage on air. all depends from CB and cpu itself regarding scaling   My golden USA cpu has vid 0.992v, does 4.5 ghz @ 1.275v and 5.8 GHz 4-Way Gen

Looking like a decent start for air/AIO..

All tested with 3 runs Cinebench R15 and XTU (successful runs)

4000MHz 1.04V

4500MHz 1.22V (1 run needs 1.2v)

4600MHz 1.28V

4700MHz 1.37V

4500MHz Core 1 needs 1.17v

More info about the processor voltages

guys can u recommend any good 5930K FPO? usually i prefer malay chips, what about these? not much good results with retail on hwbot list :/

I noticed some in this thread using an input voltage of 2.1v

Is this a safe voltage for 24/7 use on water? What is a max safe VRM temp recommended for 24/7 use on water?

Thanks.

Yea 2.1 is totally fine. My max for air/water is 2,3.

On my 5930k, I am stable at:

4.5 @ 1.32v

4.6 @ 1.38v

I am running 1.95v input voltage. If i move towards 2.1 or higher will that help me use less core voltage?

I would like to see if I can get 4.6GHz at closer to 1.35v. And, I would like to see if I can bench 4.8GHz at 1.45v (currently takes around 1.48v).

Thanks for the advice.

I don't think it will affect the actual voltage needed but I could be wrong.

is my new 5960x

my "old"5960x (costa) is a suxor :-/ 4375@1.45v

Have tested four, first three were about the same, needed ~1.33V for CB R15 4500MHz. One L430C145 and two L424B979.

Last one is a costa rica 3429A714. Does CB R15 4500 MHz @ 1.245V.

Hi all,

my 5960x is 3422b280 batch and the stock vid is 0.944 but it needs 1.33v for 4.5ghz stable !!

for 4ghz, it needs 1.108v.

Batch L443B777 5820k

5060-5080 xtu 1.44v 5ghz+ uncore(1.35v) 2800 tight mem

http://hwbot.org/submission/2834262_pulse88_xtu_core_i7_5820k_2051_marks

score is 5040 but i have got it higher with 1.44v.

5400 hwbot prime 1.44v 5100+ uncore (1.35v) 2800 tight mem

http://hwbot.org/submission/2834289_pulse88_hwbot_prime_core_i7_5820k_7923.42_pps

Done with weak single stage.

Scale with cold and voltage. i cap the voltage to 1.44v before i do cascade runs.

cores and imc is very strong best haswell cpu i tested yet.
