speed.fastest Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 In apex 00 02 code from pushing mem too hard? Maybe IMC? What is the process for using retry thanks You seen those under cold? Try reduce your temp a bit maybe help to boot. In my experience 00 02 almost touch cold bug boot on cpu. Quote
nickolp1974 Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 Not sure what the 00 02 only a clr cmos worked to get rid for me. Cold testing yesterday and something came up on screen about MEI, boot into OS at defaults and always shows 4200mhz now(7700k) tried on 3 OS, 2x bios and a reflash, not sure if boards screwed, will test some point today. webwilli2 Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 Hi there, Since 3 Days, i have problems with the Adaptive Mode. I use these settings from elmor: Use Adaptive Mode and the below settings Extreme Tweaker\Internal CPU Power Management IA AC Load Line [0.01] IA DC Load Line [0.01] Advanced\CPU Configuration\CPU – Power Management Control Intel® SpeedStep [Auto] Turbo Mode [Enabled] CPU C-states [Enabled] Enhanced C-states [Enabled] CPU C3 Report [Enabled] CPU C6 Report [Enabled] CPU C7 Report [CPU C7s] CPU C8 Report [Enabled] Package C State Limit [Cpu Default] CFG Lock [Disabled] Intel® Speed Shift Technology [Enabled] But when I set CPU C-states to Enabled, the Windows won´t start and give a BSOD. Even with Default-CPU-Clock and more Voltage then necessary. Fixed and Override Mode works. But I prefer the Adaptive Mode... I´ve tested Bios 0401/0701/0801. BIOS defaults, CLR CMOS... The strange thing is, that Adaptive Mode works a few days ago. Then I used TurboV Core to set the VCore and the system freeze. Since that time, the Adaptive Mode is corrupt. I´m deeply grateful about every answer! Many thanks Marco Quote
Wizerty Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 If you failed while flashing your OCpanel : (yes, it can happened I just ready Ver. 2.02 on PCB and use OCpanel II files, but seems that even if it 2.02 it's OCpanel one ) So after trying to flash using the wrong files, OCpanel was not working anymore, red led blink super fast and no display. I tried to flash again but it was not recognize anymore. After many attempt I find that If I dont plug the cable completly (only plug right part of the connector) then red led show up (don't blink) and I can flash it again Now it's working properly . ((try to plug right side and keep left side pin not in contact) Conclusion, first be sure to use good file haha. I hope you won't need this "tweak, but if you need it, maybe it can help you to get it work again. Wiz Quote
Wizerty Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 For info, with my memory stick, If I set "Maximus tweak : Mode2" on memory tab I get stuck in "3F" post code (sometime an other but often 3F). Do you know what is 3F ? If I set same setting with auto then no more issue Quote

Sounds like a corrupted MEI, iirc on Asus the only way to recover MEI is with USB Flashback but maybe Elmor can confirm/deny. Quote
speed.fastest Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 Just try reset CMOS sometimes can fix weird problem on B-Die. Quote

speed.fastest Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 ME SPI Locked or something is no problem, just wait till you boot into os Quote
Administrators websmile Posted February 14, 2017 Administrators Posted February 14, 2017 I thought this problem is solved with mighty Apex? And why does the multiplier not work? On slow boot I never had problem on impact that oc did not work, so it might be a different problem Quote
rtsurfer Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 ME SPI lock is still alive & well. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk Quote

Nik Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 I have a problem with my Logitech USB Keyboard 510, not work in the bios load, cant go in the bios, keyboard have power but not work, but in in the Win no problem. The big Joke, i have a Keyboard with Bluetooth and this work fine in the Bios load Idea? Greez Nik Apex its a nice Board "Revolution" in Ram OC Quote
Splave Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 FYI OC Panels pre VIII mobos are 1's PCB rev 2.02 = 1 If you mess up the flash by trying to flash it to a 2 model accidentally, then restart with SATA power attached and the OS will find it again to flash proper FW. Also RSVD on air accidentally will show 00 as well, cpu not dead. (derp) Quote
suzuki Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 Just to be clear, first rev of Oc panel will work properly with z270 Apex ? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro Quote

Alex@ro Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 Flashing firmware is needed for bclk /multiplier/voltage,if you only want to use OC Panel to read temp or voltages or use retry/safe mode/reset,etc then there is no need to flash firmware. Quote
KaRtA Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 OMG. The 22 slow boot with b-die is incredibly frustrating. Has anyone found a cure to stop it happening every boot! Quote
