I.nfraR.ed
My L643G I wrote about earlier, but after delid and AIO cooling, Grizzly on both, CB155.0/4.5 1.189V (measured with DMM) 5.2/5.0 1.328V Â VID is 1.104 according to OCF board. Â On LN2 and Z170 OCF - what I tested, it might be able to get higher with same settings 6.0 1.6V -100 6.2 1.6V -120 Â Then below -130 the "fun" begins. It starts freezing under load, nothing seems to help. Full pot same 6.0GHz profile I saved freezes when I start a bench. Pushing VCC PLL and CPU PLL to 1.8+ helps a bit, but still freezes on higher frequencies, 6.2 no go, while it is ok on higher temps. I will try to get MOCF to test. 6.0 cache booted, didn't test if CB will pass, I wanted to check cores first. Â Second try today - same thing. Can boot 6.5 1.73V no problem, can also set to 6800 same volts in Win. Can't run anything even at 6.0 when full pot - instant freeze on CB15 and CB11.5, have to restart from button on OCF. Before going full pot I tested again the saved profile at -90 6.0 1.6V and it passes no problem. Â Re-applied grizzly on DIE and IHS before the session, temps were staying under 0 this time. No cracks, no nothing, but same behavior under full pot. Definitely need to try another mobo before rejecting this chip. Â Also tried with XMP mem, low cache, 2T on mem, 1.8 CPU PLL, up to 2V VCC PLL, VCCIO up to 1.4, VCSSA up to 1.4. Tried different bioses, tried higher vCore. Mobo is running without radiaor on MOSFETs and sensors in bios show negative temps (both around -10) when going full pot. Â PS: Maybe I should stick to AMD, lol. Intel hates me. Your CPU looking good, just had thermal limit, if your CPU is soldered i think it will fly under load. Unfortunately CPU core temp cant detect under 0 so we cant check delta temp between core & pot. Â Did u removed all the black glue that holds the ihs and cpu together? If yes,try to level the ihs up a little bit with dielectric tape or something.Maybe u pressed out all the TIM above the core thats why you have no thermal capacity at all. chip seems really nice btw. speed.fastest
Picking one up shortly, is 639 looking like the best of the bunch so far? Â Not always good, but seems all L639 scaling better on Cold than L643 (Its great on Air but not scaling good under cold).

FireKillerGR
L639F -> 5G 1.32v cine and 4000 divider seems like a pain for the chip. Going to be sold :
xMec
L643 it's also a strong batch, but not all cpu from that batch are good ofc.. My first 7700k L643G218 seems it stops at 6700mhz @ -196 but need to retry and tweak some voltages, well it's not a top notch cpu but it's a good starting point for me ^^

Yes it should scale good too with ln2. Only bad has cbb at ~ -130 with mocf and -142 with impact. Then fullpot easy.
