Massman Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 First pre-order pricing rates in EU. Not the €400 that was rumoured, but also not the $280 that was 'promised' in an earlier video. None of the stores have this board in house, so the question also remains if this will be the final retail price. Quote
Massman Posted April 17, 2011 Author Posted April 17, 2011 Hoping the price drops when the boards are available on the shelf ... Quote
_mat_ Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 Those are really small shops in Austria and they are known to be ... lets say for trying to make their way with the help of these comparison platforms. With all the problems that normally includes. So I would not say that these prices are very accurate. Quote

Enough to make an estimate on the 'normal' retail price? Quote

Calathea Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 Ouch, that's not even close to $280. Actually twice the cost Quote
Rasmus66 Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 It's way to expensive compared to the R3E Black Quote
BenchZowner Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 Why, is the R3E Black out ? AFAIK the R3EB will go for 400$ or even more. Quote
chew* Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 (edited) Why, is the R3E Black out ?AFAIK the R3EB will go for 400$ or even more. R3E BE is out and has been available for awhile, priced at $589.00 USD http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131726 You can get into a R III E open box for half the BE version http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131642R Edited April 17, 2011 by chew* Quote
Rasmus66 Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 The R3E Black is only 300 kr (~60$) more expensive then the X58A OC here in Denmark. And you get a pretty sweet sound/network card with the R3E. Quote
riska Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 http://geizhals.at/a622461.html The RAIIIBE has been out for awile now i got mine for a week ago Quote
Crew Vivi Posted April 17, 2011 Crew Posted April 17, 2011 i thought the whole points of stripping the board and putting nothing in the packaging was to make the price lower :< Quote
Hondacity Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 its cost is low... gigabyte wants to profit... Quote
knopflerbruce Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 Haha "we remove the stuff you dont need, and put all the $$$ we save in our own pocket":o Well, let's see if this is just launch hype price, or if it stays that high:) Quote
Maxi Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 Not only do you have to wait longer but the price nearly doubled, I'm glad they left a couple ports off because otherwise it just wouldn't be worth it Quote
TaPaKaH Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 $280 may sound like a price Gigabyte are selling the board to distributors for due to "EU magic" 1$ turns into 1€ + some profit for resellers + VAT Quote
riska Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 No NO I now a guy from Komplett and they say that the price is 400Euro because the price they have to pay is so high so they dont earn alot of money on this mobo Quote
xxbassplayerxx Posted April 19, 2011 Posted April 19, 2011 If this thing is more than $330, I'm going to be extremely upset (and I won't be buying it). I sold my UD9 for this and it sounds like I'll just be going back to an RIIIE or Classy... Quote
Jimba Posted April 19, 2011 Posted April 19, 2011 hopefully this board owont be to must $$. i want something to bench with and this board fits the bill but if it is over $300 i wont buy it. $250-300au would be great! Quote
OBR Posted April 19, 2011 Posted April 19, 2011 ive told you before week/two ... here in Czech is price 340 EUR/500 USD ... and it seems this price is legit ... but final official price will be unveiled this week ... Quote
Massman Posted April 21, 2011 Author Posted April 21, 2011 In local shop here, price is estimated at ~ R3E (~ €320). A bit disappointing. Quote
OBR Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 With this price, better to wait for SNB-E (launch second week in november) Quote
