Mr. Scott, the whole website is mobile now, must mean reporting doesn't work full stop. Lets keep the report button disabled until Feb, well after CC concludes to give Alby a break.

Fair enough

The old site was "accepted" as functional even though we had to disable nearly half what it should be able to do. Secondly It was labelled by the community as a monstrocity to work on when using a mobile device.

Reverting is thus not an option.

Indeed as Roman mentioned we asked for betatesters on Discord. Why not here?  Can anyone beg to differ that the forum is always pretty silent when doing a Poll or when a request like this is made?

We got 4 users in total that wanted to devote their time to help Tim out. Thanks for the inputs gent.

The release date was not chosen by me as not everything that we discussed about on the specific Discord threads was implemented yet ( regarding layout and co). Due to the UAT server we couldn't test new submissions and that test site being very slow didn't help navigating and spot errors.

Anyways just looking on all the stuff that has been adressed/fixed since Tuesday, I have faith that by end of next week this new GUI will be better functioning than the "crippled to make it work" Classic version.

At the moment we are forcing Tim to focus on fucntionality first and NOT on adding fancy things like avatars, backgrounds etc... A designer will be helping out for the latter as soon as the backbone is properly working.

I am prepared to beta test. I just never saw the question. I am prepared to think about IT Security as well by the way.
There is just 1 thing: Time (as I don't have that much).

I never saw the beta invitation on discord and I'm fairly active there, I would have loved to check it out :(

Maybe a post in the discord announcement channel with ping would be good next time you have a similar call to action.

I noticed an issue on hardware pages. The site seems to show the correct best score for the hardware, but if you look at the ranking, some scores are missing.

If you look at the Biostar TPower I45 page, scroll to the Memory Frequency scores, Zombie's score is listed as the record. If you click on Memory Frequency, only two scores are shown and Zombie's score is not included.

@TASOS

That bug is still there from the progressive update from the old code, but has low priority to fix

@Don_Dan

I guess this is the same way it has always been Zombie has his best score on Z77 there he is listed...

Will talk to Tim if we can correct this old flaw

While we're on that Biostar page, I've noticed that some people's avatars are missing, e.g. for this user: https://hwbot.org/user/wytiwx

The URL to it's avatar returns an HTTP500 -> https://hwbot.org/imgs/912649

Can it return a default instead of an error ?

It's probably an old bug, but it's quite obvious now with the avatars in the list.

Found another tiny one

Go to your profile > submissions > motherboard.

Select "reference frequency" in the filter, then select "all" again (works on other components too btw)

Wouldn't it be more convenient , each time you press the "Verification URL" button , that is present in many subs , to ... NOT leave the site and just open a new window ?

That's actually against good UX principles. I'm used to middle-click on links that I want to open in a new tab.

I dont want to mess up your User Xperience
But there are people out there , that use their left mouse button more
:D

True, but you still have the option to open in another tab/window via middle click or right click -> open in new tab/window. Same on mobile with tap & hold. But when the site forces it in another tab/window, you don't have the option anymore to open it in the same tab and some users might want exactly that. It doesn't matter that me and you prefer it opened in a new tab :P

As a compromise, you would need to have an icon and a tooltip indicating that the link opens in another window.

PS: Of course, if you're Apple, you decide what is best for the users and don't give them options :D

Limiting Processor Amount to 1 in any benchmark search seems to hang the search forever. As an example, looking for all wprime32 scores on Socket LGA1366 with 1 CPU:

Another point of feedback, is there a reason the hardware filters are hidden until you click them? I don't think I've ever used the result search without wanting to apply a filter, so it's just an extra click for me every time.

Another couple of small ones :)

When submitting a benchmark with an invalid CPU frequency (like 330000MHz), it fails silently and you go back to the submission form. While this seems like a weird thing to do, benchmate sometimes does this (e.g. https://hwbot.org/submission/5697685_).
An error message or a highlight of the invalid field would be a nice touch.

The rules link on benchmark pages doesn't work (e.g. go to https://hwbot.org/benchmark/7-zip/ and hit "rules"). The link is just https://hwbot.org/rules?referenceId=

This is more of a legacy issue, but if you submit the wrong hwbot file for a benchmark (e.g. you upload the Cinebench R15 file for CB11.5 because it's early and reading is hard), it just throws a 500 error. A user friendly error message would be a nice touch too.

https://hwbot.org/country/FR
As soon as I press one of the pages for the extreme League, it slightly change the UI (adding the back to first page button) then the UI become useless -> pressing on the button doesn't change

#2

https://hwbot.org/hardware/processors?key=intel-socket-478

When left clicking on review it does redirect to a google search with a filter that list websites with some unecessary keywords.

#3

Same page, when midle click on review it redirect to this one/the main page :

https://hwbot.org/hardware/processors?key=intel-socket-478#

#4

Maybe add a "copy link" option in the database so we could more easily share where we currently are to people (for exemple listing all S478 CPU)

#5

https://hwbot.org/search/members

https://hwbot.org/search/submissions

We can't select older date than 2014

#6

The Team creation date isn't shared/shown on the Team page ?

#7

https://hwbot.org/hardware/memory?key=ddr_sd_ram-twinmos-twister

The HW record is 3012MHz, we can directly access it but listing all the max freq subs did with this memory doesn't show any subs :
https://hwbot.org/benchmark/cpu_frequency/rankings?memoryId=122&memoryProductGroupId=260&hardwareType=mem

#8

Theses graphics should be updated at some point

https://hwbot.org/hWBoints

#9

How can we upload BM results manually (using the website and not BM) ?
https://hwbot.org/submit/benchmark/superpi_-_32m

#10

The WR history on the last few subs is broken

https://hwbot.org/benchmark/superpi_-_32m

#11

For moderator, clicking on "comment" redirect to bad request

https://hwbot.org/moderator/reported

#12

On mobile, when viewing a sub with multiple picture, it's a PITA to zoom in/pinch to zoom, it just goes to the next picture, I guess there is a way to disable the "slide to show the next picture" feature and only show the next picture when clicking on the next button ?
