SuperPI and CPU-Z validations require very little effort too, let's remove them as well so that the only measurement of overclocking skill remains as eVGA SR2 + 4-way SLI config

Why do you keep asking for the changes when eVGA doesn't even support the site like MSI, Gigabyte and Geil do?

Uh, with photos of trays of CPUs from Intel attached to scores, yea :)

Who is it saying? EVGA's worker)))

Please stop speaking about it! I took trays from intel only two times... and it cost me a big money at final... all my stuff I buying myself. And now only Asus and Corsair support us sometimes. But all really good CPU/GPU is handpicked by me and Slamms...

@Sam OCX:

Asus doesn't support this site, but takes every step to "mess" with it.

Do you really think eVGA asked Vince to ask for 3D Mark11 to be added to the point system ?! :D

Perhaps they also asked all the benchers here asking for it to be added to do that as well ? :P

3DM05 is an absolutely not interesting benchmark, that requires almost no effort on the part of the bencher... can we remove points from that?

If we remove 05, lets remove 06 and aqua - all cpu-depended benchmarks)))

01, 03, 05, 06 and Aqua is a classic!!!

Sorry that I say that but 11mark is for gays)

I'd rather see AM3 removed than 05, but we're heading off topic. :P

AM3 is GPU SPi 1M.... takes less time to run with each generation. How long before it's 3 seconds? What kind of test is that?

Sorry for speaking about you out of turn Smoke.

AM3 is very tweakble benchmarking and interesting for cpu/memory/video tweaking...

After SandyE coming to market all am3 wr will be broken)

Removing 05, 06, aqua and adding 11 is terrible(((

next step is GTA4 and Crysys2 benchmark)))

Well im not for removing anything tbh, but my thoughts Exactly! :D. More reason to have something new.

Can we have a poll at least? Instead of some of this sillyness? Massman/richbastard? If majority doesnt want it, then thats cool but if majority wants it you should add it I think right?

I would love to see the benchmark here not the company. EVGA doesn't even support hwbot, why should they care? I already explained to massman they are all about orb, most people at the company besides me and TiN dont even know hwbot exists, but Im trying to get support for u guys myself, but its not so easy.

At first I didnt think it at all, but 3d11 is a great benchmark that pushes the total modern system to the brink, I've seen it on the scope in our lab, and from running it alot, its no joke! Its the real deal and what a current benchmark should be. TOTALLY not for gays as smoke insists :D

Your way off dude :D

My comment to smoke means a bench shouldnt be considered or not considered for hwbot because if someone finds it interesting or not, somehow its been taken out of context a bit as anticipated :D. It doesn't mean I actually want it removed. I still like all the 3d benches personally.

What are u talking about with your sr2 comment SamOCX, yah its a tough system to run but what do you mean by only measurement of skill? I don't think this. I don't know where u got that from as I never implied that. There is single gpu overclocking like what guys like elmor and others have mastered impressively, there is the 2d stuff with insanely high cpu speed and systems on the brink of crashing at any second so tough to even get a screencap of 5 second bench, wprime with lots of threads at once, and cpuz can be pretty tough actually too when your really pushing it. I've sat next to duck when hes done it and its impressive! 32m is a bitch (mostly I hate it because im not patient enough to spend the time to really learn it properly).

I simply want 3Dmark11 to be added for global and WR points, and im still asking for 3d11 to be added for global and wr points. Its a solid modern day benchmark that pushes about every aspect of a system from the cpu to the gpu to the power supplies. Obviously from the thread im not the only person who feels this way and this was the purpose of making the thread. Has nothing to do with evgas intentions lol.

Prolly not all realize, that its much harder to bench 11 high that aq or any other old benchmark.

Need some hard facts?

Game 4, Reference GTX 580 , 1255MHz GPU, 2500MHz memory clocks, -100c.

Power draw from PSU (ONLY videocard, +12V rail)

gt4.png

840W, brown colored measurement field, at right.

Aquamark, same stuff.

aqua.png

470W, same colored measurement at right.

3D03 Nature, same settigns

nature03.png

590W.

Vantage gametests is about 680W.

So I think not all "hardcore not-guys" just able to handle this system just to get score, i'm not talking about records even :D

And Aquamark is wonderful bench for PR, you can even make WR with two aircards on stock clocks, just enough to have 7G 990x or 6.1G 2600K :D VERY 3D-demanding skillful benchmark, memory tweaking YEAH.

P.S. I LOVE Aquamark btw, my favorite test.

P.P.S Antec 1200W was used for this testing

Stop hating on 05. :(

So, aside from Smoke's argument that 3DMark11 is "gay", what other reasons are there against having it added for points? I think we've shot down the supposed SR2 superiority. If it were existent, the SR2 is inferior in pretty much everything besides wPrime and Vantage, so I don't see the issue there.

Solid reasons why not to adopt 3DMark11, subjective feelings aside?

Yea, aqua is tricky.

I just dont get point why even to bother with points privileges for benchmarks. All benchmarks are different, why even to compare them. Just lets have points on all and stop this BS. No one complains about having superpi 1M points but not having 3Dmark Vantage Entry points yes? But all know that Entry Vantage is all about MT CPUs only :D

Gatman is right, good question! My bet there is no solid reasons, so that's why we have 8 page discussion on one simple question :)

TiN you forgot add this link in your post with diagrams :Dhttp://www.evga.com/products/moreInfo.asp?pn=100-PS-1200-GR&family=Peripherals&sw=22

to ALL

I think need add game benchmark, for example Metro2033 or Stalker. Maybe it will be very hard for benching too. Who will be try benching this? :D

And also need delete all old benchmarks. Why Vince must run 10 years 3DMark2001 and will be first? I think it is not intrestingly! :D Need each month add new benchmarks, but need rename Hwbot in GAYporn :D

And sorry for my bad english :D
