April 26, 201213 yr Lightning is not warranty to get a good chip... My best card reached about 1700 Mhz 3DM11 (I killed because it has a crap PWM easy to kill)... Lightning we tested can not go neither near this clock (crap chip)... Will test GTX 680 + Epower, but afraid I have no software to increase the clocks and good BIOS to NGTX680. Hard times to hold a place ... lol
April 26, 201213 yr Yeah, I'm thinking the same as Rbuass. Not entirely sure a lightning is really needed to play here ... perhaps it's a safer bet considering the OCP mods blow up the PWM of reference cards. But in raw clocks ... not sure.
April 26, 201213 yr Yea... I have no good weapons ATM, and the only I found was a GTX 680. It just ready to combat, but still not tested at LN2 (waiting next recharge). Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Hardmodded by rbuass and schenckel bros Thanks to TiN to share the mods (with a lit bit more spicy caps and chokes). I hope the card cen be near KP and TiN results...lol
April 26, 201213 yr that looks so ugly with that strapped on it lol! (but I bet it clocks like crazy) good luck mate. Alot of hard work there, good spirit and attitude for competition.
April 26, 201213 yr Not easy to hold a place, cause we have lots of great overclockers fighting. You can be sure I hope to see you there friend...almost sure OCA guys will represent USA there. I am not sure the official BIOS from this GTX680 will work well at sub-zero...and not sure the Afterburner or EVGA Precision can give me good clocks (if the card agree to fly high... lol) Edited April 26, 201213 yr by rbuass
April 26, 201213 yr Who said anything about it being too hard? I've got real pots and dewars, just didn't have time to get the rest of the gear lined up. Â For a while you was screaming like a 11-year old anal-virgin, thats all.
April 26, 201213 yr I can not forget the effort to my friends from Team that will fight to try to hold a place in MOA. Schenkel Bros (Jacson and Cleiton) and Gnidaol. They are all working hard..and they're really great overclockers, and many more than overclockers... very good friends. April 27, 201213 yr Massman, can you please check the points engine? It's only giving me points for 1st and 2nd stage but not for 3rd one. In future will affect the guys that take my place... lol
April 27, 201213 yr Splave's 200K 03 hold 1st place...lol  P.S. We tested a Lightning but was not good....impossible to try MOA Limited to 1600...1610 mhz and bad RAMs. Edited April 27, 201213 yr by rbuass
April 28, 201213 yr not yet! Feel asleep with my wife on the couch watching TV at 5pm on a friday night. Pretty sad for 24 years old huh  Got everything installed at home and will take back to the office for ln2, or maybe just the stock coolers?? hehe
April 28, 201213 yr stock cooler does pretty good on those cards, and I really like the dual purpose design keeping the GPU and VRM/MEM on separate rails.
April 28, 201213 yr I see a big competition before the cut-off. Â @Rbuass: Your Lightning will ship at Sunday as late, so, the Monday you can have it in your hands. Good luck and go for the 1st place.
April 28, 201213 yr Thanks Saint19; I hope I got a good Lightning... Edited April 28, 201213 yr by rbuass
April 28, 201213 yr I think that MSI could on next MOA qualifier give prizes to the one who stands for more time on the lead. =P It would be a nice incentive for people keep posting higher scores before the cutoff. Also could give prizes for the first three to submit scores, and other stuff like that. The prize don't need to be expensive hardware, just a MSI flash drive or T-shirt would be a great incentive.

April 28, 201213 yr Yea i'm not a big fan of the sandbagger either. But thats what has happened in all of the contests. No one wants to post up a score.
April 29, 201213 yr they're busy most likely, I wanted to bench this saturday but i'm currently at work
