M.Beier Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 Only ~3 months to CeBit 2013. Any plans yet? Who is going? Not sure if I can make it, will be a 'biatch' getting days off for CeBIT... Quote
knopflerbruce Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 I'm definately not going this year. Too many other things to do... Quote
Massman Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 I've picked up some rumours that it's not going to be so interesting this year components-wise. Quote
slamms Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 I've picked up some rumours that it's not going to be so interesting this year components-wise. It depends from Intel, Haswell will launch later than CeBIT, but will hope that MB vendors show us first look on MB. Quote
zzolio Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 waiting for more info on Haswell before I make any plans Quote
Massman Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 I think Computex will be more interesting in that case ... or not. Maybe. Last year it was mainly fun because of all the people that went, not really because of the hardware that was shown. This year it's just going to be more of the same. MB vendors won't show all the details of the Haswell platform anyway ... //edit: I'll pull the CeBIT 2013 comments out of this thread and into a new one. Quote
Massman Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 Okay, to be quite blunt and honest: if you want to see new CPUs, mainboards, chipsets, VGAs and extreme overclocking - save up your money and go to Computex instead. As someone told me the other day: "CeBIT will be pretty boring, Computex will be gooood". Quote

As someone told me the other day: "CeBIT will be pretty boring, Computex will be gooood". We would be on CeBIT and on Computex too Quote
IanCutress Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 When was the last CeBIT when something major was announced anyway? Quote
der8auer Posted December 20, 2012 Author Posted December 20, 2012 PJ, CeBit is only interesting for me to meet the Overclockers Quote
Massman Posted December 27, 2012 Posted December 27, 2012 No one else considering to go? //edit: maybe we should just get a large appartment or bungalow, get some hardware and nitrogen and bench all week Quote
Crew Leeghoofd Posted December 27, 2012 Crew Posted December 27, 2012 I second that suggestion, better do a little OC LAN on our own... and visit Cebit for one day or so... Quote
der8auer Posted December 27, 2012 Author Posted December 27, 2012 I'll show up if there are overclockers too meet =) It's just 5 hours drive for me. I will host the EOS again in 2013 so you're welcome to join if we won't meet at CeBit Quote
K404 Posted December 27, 2012 Posted December 27, 2012 I'm kinda tempted if there's an OC meet. I'd really like to see more open events Pay your share of venue cost + LN2 Bring some hardware If there are sponsors, great. if not, great. Bench. Eat, drink, talk, bench. Quote
der8auer Posted December 27, 2012 Author Posted December 27, 2012 That's what the EOS is typically about In 2012 I benched for about 30 mins but drank and talked for 3 days I will post a thread here on the bot as soon as possible Maybe we can make it a little more international. Quote
TaPaKaH Posted December 27, 2012 Posted December 27, 2012 Is there any relatively cheap place to stay? Quote
Crew Leeghoofd Posted December 27, 2012 Crew Posted December 27, 2012 The floor like we did previously at EOS or are you referring to CeBIT Sam ? Quote
SF3D Posted December 27, 2012 Posted December 27, 2012 I will be there again We need breakfast for champions and Sergio Quote
Blue Storm Posted December 27, 2012 Posted December 27, 2012 I will post a thread here on the bot as soon as possible Maybe we can make it a little more international. It will depend on the date but I would definitely like to come:) Quote
Hiwa Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 After 6 years cebit i will go to GVA motor show this year, anyone want to join ? 7to17 march. Quote

Massman Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 As we already knew: http://hwbot.org/newsflash/1883__intel_core_haswell_delayed_till_computex_2013_no_show_at_ces_ Quote
