Depends on the card Most of the cards I use..... SB-E makes perfect sense because the game test do not need more CPU MHz. IB Vs SB-E is only a question for GTX*70 and *80, ATI 7850 or better.

Tablets and mobile will change a lot of things for sure. If desktop sales are down (they are) and there is a demographic shift to casual gaming and mobile.... it is obvious that fewer people will overclock until tablets can be benched and OC'd Why buy a desktop computer specifically for traditional overclocking? It is much easier to get the interest in OC if it involves something that is in your life anyway. Every hobby should start out cheap, but vaguely relevant. The cheap entry to OC is to buy old gear and let's be honest..... most of the world does not care about s939 or 478...... or ATI 3 series or nV 8 series.

Maybe some people have Haswell New stuff is coming, things always go quiet just before new releases. Why risk a cherry Lightning on Ivy when the scores will be beaten so easily on Haswell?

SB-E is only good for 3D11 and 3DV. Haswell will reduce that to 3DV only and even that will have exceptions.

Is there a way to code pages so that they "know" what benchmarks will run on a certain piece of hardware and display the appropriate benchmarks? I mean..... Associating a category with DX8/9/10/11 functionality. it was "bad" after 3D11 was added, but now with another 4x 3DMark13 categories, older cards have more blank space in their benchmark list than filled random DX9 choice:

I don't disagree with you 3D01 is a two-sided discussion for sure. 3D01 and SPi32M.... the two benchmarks where 0.5% score gain through tweaking is considered a day well-spent
