hotrod717
Anyone know how many individual chips are pulled from a wafer and how they go about batching and serializing chips? I believe I read, they used to designate a, b, and c for placement on wafer, from center to edge.

Because it maybe one of the highest vid on Kaby Lake i've ever seen until now.

l0ud_sil3nc3
I think vid just reads high on Gigabyte. Â Asrock reads lowest of any vendor, followed by Asus. Have no idea where MSI fits in to the puzzle. . . Â Just looked at my 7350k and it's vid is 1.08 on MOCF, check the rest of the cpu's and post in a bit. flanker
thats what bios says at stockfriend here has a chip thats 1.32vid, similar volts for 5g  I think, you wrote voltage for turbo state. Try update BIOS, after load optimized settings and saved it and back to BIOS (check if your vcore voltage is set to "manual")
Administrators websmile Posted January 29, 2017 Administrators Share Posted January 29, 2017 Sure Asrock reads lowest? For SKL Asus always was at least one step lower for me, and I had a 7600k that was above 1,2v vid on mocf - well, this one did not enter 5g at 1,4v os and might fail specs

I still think it's best to just test with R15 lowest volts 5-5.3Ghz pre delid on any board.  Here's what a 1.08v vid 7350k does on antique relic MOCF  R15 5.2 / 4.5  R15 5 / 4.5  passed 1.195v but froze opening cpuz go figure lol  best 5 / 4.5 R15
Administrators websmile Posted January 29, 2017 Administrators Share Posted January 29, 2017 Looks good, I only did raw check on my i3, vid is same but needs more for 5g, I slacked - interesting that es shows 4,1 ghz max

Also this IMC is crazy on this chip, in fact it's the best imc in house lol All air cooled as well so on cold should fly!   Edited January 29, 2017 by l0ud_sil3nc3
