Hello, Is Intel Xeon X5690 on P6T considered as a server and thus not allowed? I'm asking because those chips were sold for workstations ... And I'm a bit confused. Sorry.

Yes please! On 1366 there are no core count benefits or similar, only price...

if you can find more Xeon users we can maybe allow these for 1366

Tbh I consider 1366 to be HEDT - are we allowing HEDT in all the divisions now?

Just so you know, 775 was considered HEDT at one time.

1366 is 10+ years old now.

X58 has consumer, and workstation boards available. Only 5520 chipset was considered server / HEDT (SR-2).

Xeon user here as well...question is, should you allow the whole X-line or just the 5698. The six cores are superior on the platform but clearly Server aimed, the 5698 is the oddball.

Fine by me but if X58 is allowed then X79 should be also imo.

I do not disagree.
