June 15, 20195 yr Crew We've completed short obligatory tests and ZFeSS is running an optional benchmark on my test bed

June 15, 20195 yr Crew Thank for the comp, GRIFF! As always, didn't have enough time. Running Pi32M. Will post to forum, anyway it's the last place and wouldn't change anything in rankings so just FYI.
June 15, 20195 yr I regret no subs from me due to not being able to find a running board anywhere. Ordered 2 off ebay, both arrived in non working state. Kinda bummed about that.
June 15, 20195 yr I feel like the Sis board was more efficient somehow... Might just be that the MSI board was a pain to get working
June 15, 20195 yr Crew 5 minutes ago, TAGG said: I feel like the Sis board was more efficient somehow... Yep, SiS is a very nice chipset. I've been considering to use one of my SiS 735 boards but found KT266A to be better.
June 15, 20195 yr Author Since you have hot systems, I give you two clues: register 50 set ED register 51 set D5 register 52 set 88 register 64,65,66,67 set 13 Works on any VIA chipset starting from socket 7 Edited June 15, 20195 yr by GRIFF
June 15, 20195 yr Crew 7 hours ago, GRIFF said: Works on any VIA chipset starting from socket 7 Not KT - 50-52 are not host bus like on others but are S2K, bus disconnect and others things. But yes, on other systems (s7, 370, 478) these are the main ones. 7 hours ago, GRIFF said: register 64,65,66,67 set 13 of course. And 1T set as well. 7 hours ago, GRIFF said: But what did you change the registers for having a boost of performance? Timings set from BIOS, command rate set via registers. Nothing else - didn't give much boost. KT266A is faster by itself than KT266 and I believe than SiS 735. Edited June 15, 20195 yr by Antinomy
June 17, 20195 yr Author Hi everyone. Quickly checking the results even before the end of the competition I realized that the background of @Skydec is that of the first round. In theory his results of pifast, super 32M and 3DM01 are not valid. The problem I encountered is that on the Leaderboard page there is only a background of the first round. What do you do?
June 17, 20195 yr Hi. Sorry I was not able to rerun my tests, I had a lot of work to do in my free time during last month, thats why I benched and posted my results as soon as the competiton started. Competition started on 15th, I benched on 17th and 18th and posted results on 18th. The official round 2 background was posted on 19th. I used the available round 1 background as it was the only one available at the time. All my results from round 2 are with round 1 background. Edited June 17, 20195 yr by skydec all results
June 17, 20195 yr Being that it at least had a backround current for the time of the contest, and we all know each other, I don't see this as a problem. Hope I'm not the only one that see's it like that. We are a very small group, we need to stick together. No need to be cut throat.
June 18, 20195 yr Members Sorry I haven't had a chance to look at this yet. As Scott said this is meant to be a friendly cup, and if it was because I was too slow uploading a 2nd background, happy to treat he results however you guys would like
June 18, 20195 yr Author Fully agree with Scott. FOR ME NO PROBLEM ALSO. I hope that others also have this point of view.
June 18, 20195 yr Thank you all for being gentlemen about this. It is encouraging. And thanks for the contest Griff.
June 19, 20195 yr Author Hello guys. Preliminary results after two rounds: 1° @skydec - 478 2° @TAGG - 470 3° @Obijuan83 - 300 4° @Mr.Scott - 216 5° @TerraRaptor - 196 6° @Kotori - 182 7° @Antinomy - 142 8° @kagura1050 - 38 Thank you guys for partecipation. Edited June 19, 20195 yr by GRIFF
June 19, 20195 yr Thank you GRIFF. We should probably proceed with this type of contests (no prizes necessary)
